GitLab has announced an expanded collaboration with Google Cloud to enable enterprise teams to build and manage AI-driven software development workflows using the GitLab Duo Agent Platform powered by Vertex AI. The integration lets AI agents in GitLab use foundation models, like Google’s Gemini models. All actions stay under GitLab’s compliance rules, access controls, and audit systems. This means AI-generated outputs, like code suggestions, are traceable in DevSecOps workflows. These workflows include issues, repositories, CI pipelines, and security checks.

The partnership also enables organizations to run GitLab’s AI Gateway on Google Cloud infrastructure, eliminating the need for separate AI provisioning and allowing customers to align AI usage with existing Google Cloud commitments. “As AI agents become central to how teams build software, they need strong models and a governed environment to be effective in the enterprise,” the announcement noted. The collaboration also provides flexibility through Vertex AI’s Model Garden and GitLab’s Bring Your Own Model option, allowing enterprises to balance performance, cost, and regulatory needs while scaling AI-powered software development securely.

Adtran has introduced Ensemble Cloudlet multinode, an innovative solution that aims at reducing the complexities of scaling and high-availability of edge AI through deployment this new solution. The revelation of this solution represents a substantial step in the development of edge computing infrastructure, to empower businesses and service providers to deploy resilient, distributed AI workloads with efficiency and less complexity.

The Ensemble Cloudlet multinode platform changes clustered servers into a single, high-performance edge cloud environment. By allowing multiple nodes to function as a single system, the solution guarantees availability, scalability, and workload resilience at an enhanced level. Besides, it enables automatic workload transfer, zero-touch provisioning, and centralized orchestration, thus granting organizations the ability to execute operations without interruption even when failures occur in nodes.

The platform is based on a modular compute architecture, with control and data planes separated to enhance security and reliability. In addition, it supports distributed workloads in enterprise sites, industrial environments, and service provider networks. Besides, it offers shared storage integration across nodes, thereby doing away with additional hardware, and ensuring steady performance and high availability.

The launch comes at a time when demand for edge AI infrastructure is rapidly growing. As organizations increasingly deploy AI applications that require low latency and real-time processing—such as computer vision, IoT analytics, and autonomous systems—traditional centralized cloud models are proving insufficient. Solutions like Ensemble Cloudlet multinode address this gap by bringing compute power closer to where data is generated.

Implications for the IT Industry

Adtran’s latest product launch reflects the general trend towards more decentralized, edge-native architectures in IT systems. Although cloud computing has been the primary driver of enterprise IT solutions for more than ten years, the current popularity of artificial intelligence and data-heavy applications is pushing enterprises to implement hybrid models that incorporate both cloud computing and edge infrastructure.

From the perspective of IT directors, implementing hybrid IT models poses certain requirements related to the need to orchestrate multiple edge nodes, make the system highly available and scalable, and enable remote deployment and management of IT infrastructure using cloud-based tools.

On the one hand, the need for high availability can be explained by the fact that most modern applications require non-stop operation, which makes it necessary to ensure the uninterrupted functioning of the IT infrastructure. For example, manufacturing operations, telemedicine, telecommunications services, and smart city projects depend on continuous data processing and require high availability of edge infrastructure.

On the other hand, the transition to multinode edge platforms indicates closer convergence between IT and telecommunications. In addition, as network architecture evolves to become capable of supporting 5G, edge computing becomes an important tool for achieving real-time performance and low latency.

Business Impact and Strategic Value

To business, the launch of Ensemble Cloudlet multinode presents an opportunity for efficient and economic implementation of AI at the edge level. In this manner, the consolidation of workload through clustering will result in fewer hardware demands, optimal resource use, and minimized costs of ownership.

On the other hand, the automations on offer will ensure minimal intervention during the process of deployment and operation, hence promoting efficiency without necessarily requiring technical knowledge. This will allow the firm to quickly roll out AI-enabled services.

Finally, performing AI-based computing in a local manner will not only guarantee high speed but will also enhance the decision-making process. Industries such as retail, logistics, and energy will benefit from increased efficiency, predictive maintenance, and real-time data analysis among others.

Advancing the Future of Edge AI

Adtran‘s Ensemble Cloudlet multinode highlights a major enterprise technology trend: the move to distributed, smart infrastructures that can run AI in real-time. As more businesses adopt edge computing, systems that offer scalability, automation, and resilience will be in high demand.

This is good news for both the IT space and the enterprises as it is a great step in the right direction to allow AI-based innovations to be made at scale – placing computing near data, making it more dependable, and opening up a whole new world of digital transformation opportunities in a very connected globe.

Edge Delta has announced a major shift in its pricing strategy, making its Telemetry Pipelines product free for all customers, regardless of data volume. The move removes per-GB processing fees, allowing organizations to route, transform, and manage telemetry data at scale without incurring throughput costs—paying only for stored data and AI token usage within its platform.

The decision reflects a broader push toward agentic, AI-powered observability. By removing financial and operational barriers, Edge Delta aims to simplify adoption of its AI Teammates—autonomous agents designed to monitor, analyze, and act on system data in real time. These agents go beyond traditional observability tools by proactively identifying anomalies, correlating signals, and initiating investigations without human intervention.

Unlike conventional pipeline tools that require extensive engineering effort and primarily focus on data movement, Edge Delta’s offering combines data routing with intelligent automation. Its pipelines act as a preprocessing layer, refining logs, metrics, and traces before they are analyzed, ensuring higher-quality insights and reduced noise.

“The telemetry pipeline market is crowded, manual, and largely unintelligent. Cribl, OpenTelemetry, Bindplane, Databahn, Fluent, and Vector require significant engineering effort to deploy and maintain, yet at the end of the day still deliver little more than moving data. Today, Edge Delta Telemetry Pipelines is now free at any scale. No throughput limits. No per-GB fees. Any organization can route, transform, and control unlimited telemetry volume at no cost. This is a deliberate strategic decision, not a promotional one. The demand signal around Edge Delta AI Teammates has been clear: enterprises are ready for observability that thinks and acts, not just collects and displays. Making pipelines free removes the last barrier to experiencing that firsthand. Operations teams have watched AI transform developer workflows for years now. Edge Delta AI Teammates bring that same capability to the people running production infrastructure. The path is now frictionless.” — Ozan Unlu, Founder & CEO, Edge Delta

This kind of framework allows organizations to deal with gigabytes or even petabytes of telemetry data at zero costs. In addition, this trend conforms to the current industry trend of automating the management of operational processes using AI tools that will minimize human intervention in incident resolution.

The combination of Edge Delta’s free data pipeline services and its innovative AI-powered observability layer will transform the way engineering teams operate in complex and highly dynamic environments.

NeuBird AI has launched an autonomous production operations agent. This change moves us from reactive incident management to proactive, AI-driven operations. The new Falcon engine provides ongoing intelligence in cloud, on-premises, and hybrid settings. It helps organizations anticipate issues, resolve incidents quickly, and optimize performance at scale.

The solution adds new features, like Preventive Risk Insights. These insights spot potential failures before they happen. It also has an Advanced Context Map. This map shows real-time insights into infrastructure dependencies and system health. NeuBird Desktop, a command-line interface tool, allows engineers to directly interact with the AI agent, while FalconClaw, a newly launched skills hub, enables teams to operationalize institutional knowledge into reusable workflows.

“AI adoption in enterprise operations has accelerated, but existing AI solutions lack the operational context and domain expertise required to deliver reliable outcomes.” said Gou Rao, co-founder and CEO of NeuBird AI.

Also Read: SentinelOne and Google Cloud Deepen Alliance to Advance AI-Native Cybersecurity

The launch addresses persistent challenges in IT operations, where fragmented tools and alert overload hinder efficiency. According to NeuBird’s 2026 State of Production Reliability and AI Adoption Report, 83% of organizations rely on four or more tools during incidents, and engineering teams spend nearly 40% of their time managing disruptions rather than building products. Additionally, 78% of organizations reported incidents without alerts, while 44% experienced outages tied to ignored signals.

NeuBird’s agent is designed to unify these processes by correlating telemetry data, mapping dependencies, and automating root cause analysis. It enables teams to reduce alert noise by over 78%, resolve incidents in minutes, and reclaim more than 200 engineering hours per month.

Rao added, “Production issues often go undetected until they impact services. Platform, SRE and DevOps teams need the ability to anticipate problems before they happen, across organizations of all sizes. NeuBird AI enables teams to see around corners, identify risks ahead of impact, prevent incidents before they affect services and resolve incidents in minutes. We deliver an AI teammate that production teams can actually trust. This is the future of enterprise production operations.”

With the addition of FalconClaw, organizations can further codify operational expertise into scalable, AI-driven processes, reinforcing a transition toward predictive, self-optimizing production environments.

Rafay Systems has introduced Token Factory, a new capability within its platform designed to help GPU infrastructure providers evolve into full-fledged AI service operators. The offering enables organizations to deliver and monetize AI models through token-based consumption, a model rapidly becoming central to how enterprises and developers access AI services.

With the general availability of Token Factory, Rafay equips neocloud providers and AI infrastructure operators with built-in metering, pricing, and access controls. This allows them to offer AI models as services without building complex monetization frameworks from scratch. By converting raw GPU capacity into tokenized consumption, providers can unlock new revenue streams while simplifying service delivery for end users.

The launch comes amid a shift in AI usage patterns, where enterprises increasingly rely on agentic frameworks such as OpenClaw and NVIDIA’s NemoClaw. These systems execute multi-step workflows and continuously interact with external tools, significantly increasing token consumption compared to traditional AI queries. As a result, demand for scalable, token-based access to AI models is accelerating, with most spending currently concentrated among hyperscalers.

Token Factory aims to redistribute that opportunity by enabling regional infrastructure providers to serve local demand. It allows operators to expose AI models through API endpoints, where usage is tracked and billed based on tokens. Built-in governance, quota management, and real-time monitoring ensure that both enterprises and individual users can manage consumption effectively.

“Token Factories are the new cellphone companies,” said Haseeb Budhani, CEO and co-founder of Rafay Systems. “Similar to how cellphone companies used to sell pre- and post-paid minute plans, AI factories are beginning to sell pre- and post-paid token plans. Team Rafay is looking forward to supporting the success of a thousand AI factories across the world with our Token Factory offering.”

The platform integrates seamlessly with leading agentic frameworks, allowing developers to connect to tokenized endpoints through self-service workflows while abstracting underlying infrastructure complexity. This approach positions Token Factory as a key enabler in the growing market for AI services, where consumption-based models are expected to dominate.
