Soracom, Inc., a cloud-native IoT platform providing connectivity, cloud integration, an AI services for the Internet of Things, announced Soracom Agent, an AI agent that works alongside teams across the full IoT project lifecycle, from requirements definition and design through development and operations. This new product expands Soracom’s position as an MVNO first mover in AI.

Soracom Agent extends a line of AI services that the company has shipped over the past two years. Soracom Query, the platform’s natural-language IoT analytics service, lets teams ask questions of their connectivity and device data without writing SQL. Soracom Flux, the platform’s low-code IoT application builder, lets teams turn that data into automated workflows that call cloud AI models. The company has also published an MCP server that makes the platform operable by AI tools. Soracom Agent applies those capabilities to the work of designing, building, and operating an IoT deployment.

Soracom Agent runs in an isolated, secure container dedicated to each customer. It carries project memory, so its understanding of a given deployment improves as the project progresses. It also operates a wide range of Soracom services through the platform’s API, CLI, and MCP interfaces. Soracom AI Agent is built to be used by non-engineers as well as developers, lowering the expertise required to design and run a connected product. Because the agent works within the customer’s own environment, customers retain control of their data and the knowledge their projects generate.

“Soracom began by making connectivity accessible to IoT builders, and the platform has steadily moved up the stack, into the cloud and then into AI,” said Kenta Yasukawa, CTO and Co-Founder of Soracom. “Soracom Query gave teams a way to ask questions of their IoT data in plain language, and Soracom Flux gave them a way to turn that data into automated workflows. Soracom Agent is the next step. It understands IoT, telecom, and the Soracom platform well enough to work alongside a team through an entire project, from the first requirements to live operations, while the customer keeps control of their data and what they learn from it.”

In a major move to simplify enterprise branch architectures, Arista Networks has introduced its AI-driven Edge Threat Management (ETM) for VeloCloud SD-WAN, unifying zero-trust perimeter security and WAN connectivity into a single, cohesive platform. Scheduled for general availability in Q4 2026 across all current VeloCloud hardware and virtual edge platforms, integrated ETM eliminates hardware sprawl by consolidating disparate security appliances into a single edge device managed through the VeloCloud Orchestrator GUI. Key features include advanced firewalling, zone-based segmentation, Geo-IP/DNS filtering, and AI-powered policy insights driven by Arista AVA® (Autonomous Virtual Assist), which utilizes tools like “Policy Explainer” and “Traffic Simulation” to translate complex rules into natural language and prevent misconfigurations.

Also Read: AWS Optimizes Network Firewall Defaults to Eliminate Silent TCP Connection Drops

Highlighting the operational efficiency gained by consolidating branch infrastructure, Till Bockenheimer from T&A SYSTEME GmbH noted: “The new ETM functionality allows us to offer requested security services on top of the existing SD-WAN infrastructure managed within the same GUI. This eliminates the need to deploy a separate firewall box managed from a separate GUI, especially for small branches.” Pointing out the broader trend toward intelligent network management, Edward Fox III, Chief Technology Officer at MetTel, stated: “The network edge must evolve to be smarter and more autonomous as our clients expand their AI-driven operations from reactive troubleshooting to predictive management.” Reflecting on the platform milestone, John McCool, Senior Vice President at Arista Networks, concluded: “The new zero trust integrated security with ETM, developed organically by Arista, showcases the power of the combined Arista and VeloCloud teams on the anniversary of the VeloCloud acquisition. Customers can now simplify and unify the branch, extending enterprise-grade zero trust security to the branch office WAN edge.”

Keysight Technologies, Inc. has been assigned by the European Space Agency (ESA) to lead a new three-year development program. The project is aimed at developing innovative, secure, and blockchain-based anomaly detection solutions for 5G non-terrestrial networks (NTN). As the main contractor, Keysight will work with the Spanish satellite provider Sateliot to deliver main technical innovations and oversee spacecraft mission integration.

The continuous expansion of a wide variety of satellite communication constellations is giving rise to an extremely complex layout of orbital geometries. Today, s space borne payloads need to manage large volumes of data in real-time between different satellite groups, terrestrial ground stations, and old 5G cellular networks. When such hybrid topologies grow, the systems become more exposed not only physically by signal spoofing and physical tampering but also cyber attacks. The ESA supported project is the introduction of a decentralised verification method that will enhance security of those links that interconnect these different environments.

Embedding Immutable Integrity Across the Orbital Lifecycle

The strategic initiative is funded under the Space for 5G/6G & Sustainable Connectivity program line within the Advanced Research in Telecommunications Systems (ARTES) framework. The core roadmap aims to replace reactive, host-based network defenses with an overarching cryptographically verifiable trust structure.

Also Read: Brightspeed Business Launches 8 Gig Fiber for AI-Driven Workloads

To build this framework, the engineering teams are synthesizing three advanced technical disciplines:

Decentralized Ledger Architecture: Anchoring immutable tracking records to protect telemetry data streams against unauthorized external modifications.

Autonomous Intelligence Layers: Utilizing advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) models to identify anomalous behaviors and intercept cyber threats at machine-level speeds.

Traceable Hardware Verification: Deploying specialized digital calibration certificates across the network footprint to validate hardware integrity from the manufacturing floor to active orbit.

“This program represents a definitive shift toward integrating space-based assets into a secure, unified 5G ecosystem. By anchoring blockchain within our orbital operations, we are creating a transparent validation layer that allows massive IoT networks to scale globally while consistently ensuring security and performance.” Albert Pujol, Chief Innovation Officer at Sateliot

Laying the Infrastructure Foundation for Autonomous 6G Telemetry

The integration of verifiable validation systems directly impacts the long-term design roadmaps for next-generation 6G architectures. Because upcoming 6G applications will rely inherently on dense, non-terrestrial network nodes to achieve global cellular density, automated management centers must operate on completely trusted, tamper-proof operational datasets.

“Supporting this project, which benefits from Keysight’s leadership and Sateliot’s expertise, underscores ESA’s commitment to helping pioneer the technologies required to safeguard the integration of non-terrestrial and terrestrial networks. Together, we’re not only taking a step towards defending Europe’s communications against spoofing and tampering, but we’re also ensuring that our Member States remain at the forefront of secure 5G and future 6G communications.” Antonio Franchi, Head of the Space for 5G/6G & Sustainable Connectivity programme at ESA

“This initiative represents a major step toward securing hybrid space terrestrial networks at a time when global NTN deployments are accelerating. By combining test and measurement expertise with AI-driven assurance and blockchain technologies, this work will demonstrate how trust can be embedded across the full NTN lifecycle from design and validation through in-orbit operation.” Eric Taylor, Vice President, Aerospace, Defense and Government Solutions at Keysight

“Europe is at the forefront of space‑based connectivity and secure telecommunications. This project underscores Keysight’s long‑standing commitment to European sovereignty and innovation leadership.” Thierry Locquette, Vice President of Sales, Europe at Keysight

A Multi-Phase Validation Roadmap Ending in Orbit

The three-year engineering campaign is structured to advance methodically from early-stage laboratory modeling and software emulation environments to field validation. The research phase will culminate in a comprehensive in-orbit demonstration utilizing a live Sateliot spacecraft. This live test environment will actively validate the performance of the blockchain trust architecture under realistic orbital dynamics, high-speed telemetry routing, and atmospheric propagation constraints.

By successfully demonstrating deterministic data verification in deep space, the project aims to accelerate commercial market adoption for secure, space-based IoT arrays while cementing international telecommunication sovereignty. Telecom operators, satellite hardware engineers, cloud developers, and enterprise risk officers can review the structural testing specifications and track active mission development milestones by visiting the companies’ dedicated space-infrastructure portals.

Tosi’s U.S. customers gain access to Tosi Insight, a new intelligence layer that analyzes OT network traffic, identifies connected assets, detects unusual activity, and highlights operational risks that traditional monitoring might miss. The new tool extends the capabilities of Tosi Control, a cloud-based console launched by the company in January this year to connect, manage, and monitor critical assets in OT networks in real time.

Tosi Insight was designed in response to changing customer expectations, driven by the fact that operational technology environments are becoming more connected and distributed, making it harder for organizations to monitor and understand their networks. The new tool does not replace current operational or security tools, but adds OT-specific behavioral visibility and context that regular infrastructure monitoring cannot provide.

“Tosi Control answers the question: ‘Is everything connected and operating?’ Tosi Insight answers the next question customers ask: ‘What is happening across my OT environment?'” said Sakari Suhonen, CEO of Tosi U.S. “Together they provide organizations with a single platform that connects, visualizes, controls, and now delivers operational intelligence across distributed OT environments.”

The launch of Tosi Insight was preceded by an early access program, during which participating companies used the platform to identify undocumented assets, detect unexpected network activity, and maintain visibility into their OT environments, work that previously required significant manual effort. During testing, customers also used the platform’s reporting, traffic analysis, and investigation tools to review network behavior and support faster decision-making.

Key capabilities of Tosi Insight include:

Continuous monitoring of OT network traffic and communications

Behavioral anomaly detection and operational intelligence

Risk-based event prioritization

Traffic analytics and protocol visibility

Communication and relationship mapping

Context-rich investigations with filtering, drill-down analysis, and reporting

Executive and operational reporting to support decision-making

Brightspeed, the third-largest fiber builder in the country, announced its major expansion of its product offerings with the launch of their new ultra high-speed 8 Gig fiber tier. In particular designed for enterprise use scenarios, this solution offers high level of bandwidth, scalability and network design that can support data-heavy AI applications.

The commercial product launch comes when the companies are actively undergoing deep tech transformations. As businesses are increasingly leveraging the use of large language models, cloud computing platforms, and automation tools on their work processes, traditional internet connections are finding it hard to fulfill the demands. By offering ultrafast data transfer speeds that are up to 8 times faster than a regular gigabit link, Brightspeed makes it possible for organizations to grow their workforces while staying in the same building and without having to worry about slow internet or lost time.

“AI is fundamentally changing how businesses work and it’s changing what business owners should expect from their network,” said Jeff Lowney, president of Brightspeed Business. “From AI assistants and intelligent automation to cloud collaboration, real-time analytics and connected workplaces, today’s businesses are generating and moving more data than ever before, and connectivity has evolved from a utility to strategic infrastructure. Organizations embracing AI, expanding cloud environments and depending on real-time collaboration need networks that can scale alongside innovation. Brightspeed Business 8 Gig fiber offering delivers the performance, reliability and flexibility businesses need to build for the future.”

Also Read: Supercharging Connectivity: Brightspeed Business Launches New 5 Gig Fiber

Overcoming High-Throughput Latency Barriers in the Cloud

Unlike legacy business software that relies on intermittent data exchanges, modern AI workloads necessitate persistent cloud communication loops. These automated pipelines continuously pull from machine learning models, parse massive external datasets, and generate heavy blocks of concurrent network traffic.

To prevent data congestion, the 8 Gig infrastructure offers targeted performance optimization across several critical enterprise applications:

AI and Automated Productivity Engines: Fueling intelligent software assistants, machine learning logic, and continuous robotic process workflows.

Real-Time Data Analytics Infrastructure: Enabling immediate, ultra-low-latency processing of high-volume market intelligence streams.

Cloud-Native and Hybrid Operations: Sustaining high-density video collaboration pipelines and secure offsite workspace access.

Large-Scale Digital Asset Transfer: Accelerating bulk data migration, continuous backup cycles, and heavy content creation rendering.

Future-Proofing Corporate Architecture Against Data Decay

Although the highest throughput that is possible with an 8 Gig line may be more than sufficient to meet the daily needs of mid-market businesses, network architecture planning has become a very important governance issue. With the creation of a high-capacity data infrastructure, corporations will have no problems incorporating future technology in their business operations.

“Our goal isn’t simply to offer faster internet,” Lowney added. “We’re building the digital infrastructure that enables businesses to confidently adopt AI, innovate faster and scale without limits. As technology continues to evolve, our network is built to evolve with it.”

The new 8 Gig connectivity options are officially live and available for integration into enterprise infrastructure roadmaps. Brightspeed Business offers flexible commercial fiber packages ranging from 200 Mbps up to the elite 8 Gbps tier, allowing organizations to select the exact density required for their current workflows. For operations with zero-downtime mandates, the firm also provides Premium Fiber options featuring dedicated bandwidth configurations, proactive hardware monitoring, and priority technical support. Network architects, chief technology officers, and operations executives can evaluate regional availability and review custom deployment frameworks by visiting the company’s official digital business portal.

CSL Group, the leading global provider of Critical Connectivity®, has acquired IoTM Solutions Ltd, creating a global platform for resilient, multi-carrier IoT connectivity management and eSIM orchestration, designed for the next-generation of global IoT deployments.

As IoT deployments scale globally, enterprises, service providers and mobile operators are often required to manage SIMs, eSIM profiles and carrier integrations across separate portals, Connectivity Management Platforms (CMPs) and network platforms. This fragmentation adds operational complexity, slows carrier onboarding and makes it harder to adapt to changing regulation, permanent roaming restrictions and in-life service issues.

The acquisition strengthens CSL’s ability to help customers build resilient global IoT estates that can adapt to network outages, changing regulation and transition smoothly to SGP.32 – the GSMA’s next-generation eSIM standard for IoT.

Resilient IoT Operations for Global Connectivity

Founded in 2015, IoTM Solutions has developed a cloud-native platform that brings fragmented carrier systems, CMPs and eSIM workflows into one managed service, providing a single pane of glass view. The platform is vendor agnostic, taking on legacy estates or new deployments regardless of vendor, so customers manage SIM lifecycle, eSIM profile management, usage reporting, support workflows and API access through a unified operating model across multiple operators and platforms. This low-touch, friction-free approach means customers can provision their entire SIM estate seamlessly in hours, not days.

Already managing more than 30 million SIMs, with the ability to onboard over a billion, the platform supports 20+ native CMP, API and carrier platform integrations, with access to more than 100 mobile operators. This gives CSL immediate global scale, deep carrier integration and proven operational capability across its Critical Connectivity® and rSIM® services, providing more optionality and value for customers.

Combined with rSIM’s SIM-level resilience and CSL’s managed IoT services, IoTM Solutions expands CSL’s resilient connectivity offering beyond network failover. Customers can manage outages, local carrier requirements, permanent roaming restrictions and changing market conditions through a single platform.

Dan Amir, CEO & Co–Founder of IoTM Solutions, said:

“IoTM was created to remove the complexity of managing IoT connectivity across multiple operators, platforms and countries. Joining CSL Group allows us to bring that capability to a larger global customer base, supported by CSL’s managed connectivity services and rSIM resilience. Together, we can help customers and mobile operators simplify SIM and eSIM operations and prepare for the next generation of global IoT.”

The IoTM team will join CSL, and the platform will continue to support existing customers, operators and service provider partners.

Expanding CSL’s Capabilities

CSL already delivers managed IoT connectivity and patented rSIM resilience for life-critical and business-critical applications. By adding IoTM, CSL extends its role beyond connectivity, giving customers a single resilient operating model for managing SIMs, eSIMs, carriers and platforms throughout the device lifecycle.

Together, CSL and IoTM Solutions enable customers to deploy globally, adapt to local carrier and regulatory requirements, automate SIM lifecycle management and strengthen operational resilience as IoT estates grow. This creates a foundation for large-scale SGP.32 adoption while reducing operational complexity for enterprises, service providers and mobile operators.

Preparing Customers for the Next Generation of eSIM

The transition to SGP.32, the next generation of eSIM architecture for IoT, represents one of the most significant changes in how connected devices are provisioned, managed and supported throughout their lifecycle. As enterprises expand globally and permanent roaming restrictions continue to evolve, organisations need greater automation, orchestration and operational control over their SIM and eSIM estates.

By combining IoTM Solutions‘ connectivity management platform with CSL’s managed IoT services and patented rSIM resilience, CSL is creating the operational foundation for both today’s global IoT deployments and tomorrow’s SGP.32 ecosystem.

Ed Heale, CEO of CSL Group, commented:

“SGP.32 marks the biggest change in IoT connectivity management since the introduction of eSIM. Customers won’t simply need a new standard; they’ll need a new operating model. Bringing IoTM Solutions into CSL Group allows us to deliver that; combining IoT connectivity management, eSIM orchestration and resilient connectivity into a single service that prepares customers for the next generation of global IoT.”
