Identiv, Inc, a global leader in digital security and identification for the Internet of Things (IoT), announced that the company has won its first order completed several million IoT pixel tags for IoT SaaS company Wiliot . Meanwhile, Identiv has begun production on a follow-up order from Wiliot, which was announced at the company’s last earnings conference call in May 2023.
“We welcome continued collaboration with Wiliot to accelerate the development of the revolutionary Ambient IoT ecosystem,” said Amir Khoshniyati, Vice President and General Manager IoT at Identiv. “With our non-disruptive manufacturing of IoT pixels, Wiliot customers can continue to work seamlessly and further optimize their supply chains with the item-level information captured by these groundbreaking tags,” adds Khoshniyati.
Retailers are pioneering the launch of Wiliot’s revolutionary Ambient IoT platform. With postage stamp-sized IoT pixels, consumers can track the movement of food and products through their supply chains, including location, temperature, humidity and other conditions. By quickly uncovering inefficiencies due to poor storage and handling, Wiliot customers can significantly improve the productivity and sustainability of their supply chain.
With the help of IoT pixels, incorrect shipments of products are quickly identified and cold chain items can be tracked in real time during transport. This enables food waste minimization, automated compliance with the FDA’s new FSMA Section 204 regulation, and accurate inventory information essential for best-in-class omnichannel distribution. Wiliot recently opened an office in Dallas, Texas, to provide additional support for customer deployments.
“Wiliot is committed to making each and every item an ‘agent of change’. With a partner like Identiv, we can make this vision a reality. As demand for our IoT pixels is currently multiplying, the continued production of Identiv will ensure on-time delivery to our customers at this inflection point for IoT adoption,” said Roee Zeiler, Chief Financial and Revenue Officer at Wiliot.
Identiv’s connected ecosystems power the IoT , creating digital identities for any physical object. The innovative RFID team is responsible for research, design, development and manufacture. The company integrates tags, inlays and labels into billions of everyday items, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, luxury brands, specialty retailers, athletic apparel, industrial applications, smart packaging, library media, toys, wine and spirits, mobile devices, cold chain items and perishables.
