Thundercomm Launches RUBIK Pi on Qualcomm Platforms

Thundercomm announced RUBIK Pi, the first Pi built on Qualcomm ® SoC platforms for developers. RUBIK Pi is an innovative tool that aims to lower the barriers to application development with AI inference, giving developers access to powerful, easy-to-deploy AI R&D tools.

The Pi product is a must-have for electronics enthusiasts and developers. It can be thought of as a microcomputer, with a processor, memory, storage, and various interfaces on a credit card-sized board. Thundercomm, a global provider of IoT products and solutions, has leveraged its expertise in ICT technologies and developer workflows to launch RUBIK Pi, which aims to create the most user-friendly R&D tools in the field of AI.

RUBIK Pi uses the Qualcomm ®  QCS6490 processor, delivering 12.5 TOPS of AI inference performance and supporting a 1.8 billion parameter LLM. With Qualcomm ® AI Hub, developers have the ability to explore industry-leading tools that allow them to download pre-optimized AI models or leverage their own model to get the best performance from the SoC.

RUBIK Pi is compatible with Qualcomm® Linux®  , Android , and Windows, ensuring broad operating system compatibility. It is also backward compatible with Thundercomm’s C8550 SOM and backward compatible with the C5430P SOM, providing developers with great scalability.
