OpenText Unveils AI-Powered Cybersecurity Cloud

OpenText

AI-powered threat defense to process billions of machine events and seamlessly integrate with existing security solutions to boost detection response and reduce risks for users of Microsoft Security tools

OpenText has announced the upcoming general availability of OpenText™ Core Threat Detection and Response, an advanced AI-powered cybersecurity solution, with Cloud Editions 25.2. This launch marks a significant expansion of OpenText’s cybersecurity portfolio, reinforcing its commitment to providing enterprises with cutting-edge threat hunting, detection, and response capabilities. Designed to fortify defenses against both internal and external cyber threats, OpenText aims to equip organizations with robust security measures in an era dominated by machine-to-machine attacks.

The OpenText Core Threat Detection and Response solution will be hosted on Microsoft Azure, ensuring seamless cloud integration. By incorporating Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft Security Copilot, the platform enables organizations to proactively identify and neutralize threats before they cause harm. Additionally, OpenText’s threat integration studio allows businesses to integrate and ingest telemetry from various network solutions, security tools, applications, and enterprise technologies, further enhancing threat visibility and response.

As part of OpenText Cybersecurity Cloud, this solution addresses a broad spectrum of security challenges, ranging from application and data protection to identity and access management, security operations, and digital forensics. With over 7,500 global enterprise customers, OpenText is a recognized leader in cybersecurity, delivering innovative solutions that protect organizations of all sizes from evolving cyber risks.

While external threats often take center stage, insider threats—whether deliberate, accidental, or resulting from compromised credentials—pose an equally critical risk. These threats frequently evade detection and contribute to significant financial losses. According to the 2023 Cost of Insider Risks Global Report by Ponemon and Sullivan, insider-related incidents cost organizations an average of $16.2 million annually. Compounding this issue, the ongoing cybersecurity talent shortage has left many enterprises vulnerable, lacking the necessary resources for proactive threat detection. OpenText Core Threat Detection and Response, bolstered by OpenText’s threat hunting services and integration toolkits, offers a comprehensive solution to mitigate these risks.
