McAfee Corp., a global leader in online protection, has appointed Stephanie Fried as its new Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer.

Bringing extensive expertise in marketing and brand engagement, Fried transitions to McAfee from Fandom, where she served as Chief Marketing Officer. During her tenure, she spearheaded marketing initiatives across a diverse portfolio of brands, including TV Guide, Metacritic, and GameSpot. Under her leadership, Fandom achieved significant audience growth, surpassing 350 million monthly visitors. She played a crucial role in strengthening engagement through strategic brand initiatives, consumer insights, and audience development.

In her new role at McAfee, Fried will oversee global marketing and communication strategies for the direct-to-consumer brand. Leveraging her experience in fostering authentic brand connections, she will focus on enhancing customer engagement while expanding McAfee’s reach to new global audiences. Her appointment comes at a transformative time for the company as it sharpens its commitment to consumer protection beyond traditional antivirus solutions. With an evolving portfolio that includes privacy, identity, and security services, McAfee is dedicated to integrating comprehensive online protection into consumers’ daily digital interactions. Fried will report directly to Craig Boundy, President and Chief Executive Officer of McAfee.

With two decades of experience in marketing, research, and analytics, Fried has held senior leadership roles at Condé Nast, Discovery Communications, VEVO, and NBC Universal. She has successfully driven audience expansion, digital transformation, and brand impact across multiple industries. At Condé Nast, she led marketing, research, and analytics efforts for renowned brands such as The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, and Vogue, achieving substantial digital audience growth and increased engagement year over year. Her prior roles at Discovery Communications, VEVO, and NBC Universal further solidified her reputation for developing data-driven marketing strategies that reshape digital engagement and business growth.
