Gigs’ OS for mobile services will redefine how AT&T delivers connectivity to hundreds of millions of US consumers, ushering in a new era of telecom
Gigs, the operating system for mobile services, has entered into a strategic partnership with AT&T ($T), the largest network provider in North America, to revolutionize how mobile plans are delivered to U.S. consumers.
Through this collaboration, technology brands can now integrate mobile connectivity directly into the apps that customers already use. This model sets a new benchmark for mobile services plans can be activated within seconds, managed seamlessly in-app, and supported by automated, AI-driven customer care. Klarna, the global digital bank and flexible payments leader, is the first to launch a phone plan using Gigs’ operating system on AT&T’s network. With Gigs, connectivity becomes as easily embeddable as any other cloud service.
This partnership signals a fundamental shift in how carriers can expand their reach to millions of new subscribers. As consumers increasingly rely on apps for everything from shopping to payments, AT&T and Gigs are meeting them where they live their digital lives. Instead of depending solely on costly, traditional marketing channels, the two companies are opening new digital distribution models inside everyday apps and platforms reducing acquisition costs while enhancing user convenience.
By enabling technology companies to embed mobile plans directly into their core offerings, Gigs provides carriers with a sustainable path to subscriber growth while giving brands a strategic tool to increase customer loyalty and unlock new revenue streams.

Embedded connectivity also allows technology companies to extend ownership of essential, high-frequency services including banking, payments, shopping, and work into a single, simplified digital ecosystem. With Gigs’ operating system, AT&T strengthens its position as the network of choice for the tech platforms consumers engage with daily. The result: fewer apps, more streamlined experiences, and a fundamentally new way to interact with mobile services.
“Gigs is building the infrastructure and technology for the telecommunications industry to innovate, and to rise to the occasion of meeting a generational shift in consumer expectations of mobile service providers,” said Hermann Frank, CEO and Co-Founder at Gigs. “The telecommunications industry built the infrastructure that gave us the internet and our entire digital world – it’s a foundational American industry that ushered in the first wave of digital innovation. Gigs’ operating system for mobile services will give telecom the technology it needs to ensure consumers receive the mobile experiences they deserve.”
“We believe we’re at the cusp of a new era, where telecommunications and consumer technology will converge to deliver outsized innovation and value to providers, partners and consumers alike. This will allow the telecommunications industry to access new, trusted channels designed to serve new audience segments, and create a new blueprint for how people buy and access phone plans in the future. The future is one where consumers can buy and manage their cellular plans from any number of personal or workplace apps they use every day, with just a few taps,” said William Traylor, Vice President, Emerging Business – Platforms & Partnerships at AT&T.
AT&T and Gigs are together redefining the mobile experience for U.S. consumers while creating new growth channels for technology brands. Fintech innovators such as Klarna, OnePay, and Majority have already launched branded mobile plans on AT&T’s network using Gigs’ platform, with a growing roster of forward-thinking companies expected to join.
