Accenture has unveiled a broadened partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to provide innovative digital services to defense, national security, and public sector agencies. Under the Accenture AWS Business Group, the firms will work together to develop new solutions based on cloud and artificial intelligence services to minimize the cost of operations, rationalize resource usage, and enhance defense capabilities and the quality of citizen services.
These AI-driven offerings, developed on the secure infrastructure of AWS, concentrate on workforce transformation, improving social service delivery, and defense and national security agency mission readiness. This partnership brings Accenture’s cloud, data, and AI industry expertise together with AWS’s cutting-edge and secure cloud and AI capabilities.
An example of the success of this partnership is the partnership with the Louisiana Department of Children & Family Services (DCFS). Rebecca Harris, Louisiana DCFS Secretary, said, “With Accenture and AWS, the Louisiana DCFS is making a strategic investment in secure, compliant cloud technology to improve case management, data sharing, and communication for citizens as they access critical services. These tools are supporting administrative burdens, increasing operational efficiency, and empowering employees to spend more time providing direct services to children and families.”
Accenture and AWS are identifying three areas of focus to enable public service organizations to reinvent their businesses:
Workforce Transformation using AI: Accenture studies show that 87% of business leaders concur that AI agents are spearheading a new period of process transformation. Accenture and AWS are building and deploying generative AI and agentic AI solutions that dramatically boost public sector productivity through task and process automation, and enhanced decision-making capabilities. Organisations can speed their modernization path with AWS Migration Acceleration Program advantages such as proof-of-concept pilot tests, migration evaluation, and AWS credits, which lower implementation prices while providing secure and compliant cloud adoption.
Defense and National Security Mission Readiness: Taking advantage of AWS’s secure infrastructure optimized for high-sensitivity operations, defense and national security agencies are able to quickly deploy cloud solutions that augment operational effectiveness and mission success. Solutions include zero-trust architectures, edge computing for contested environments, and supply chain optimization capabilities to help defense agencies modernize legacy systems while upholding the highest standards of security.

Social Service and Health Solutions: Accenture and AWS are revolutionizing how social services and health and human services agencies provide care with AI-driven case management and data analytics platforms. These solutions facilitate accelerated benefit determinations, enhanced service delivery with predictive analytics, and modernization of mission-critical systems for social benefits and employment programs, such as Integrated Eligibility in the U.S., all under tight data privacy controls.
Jennifer Jackson, Accenture’s lead for the AWS Business Group, added, “Public sector agencies are poised to reinvent with AI to run more effectively and serve citizens better. These extended solutions will enable organizations to modernize with forward-thinking cloud and AI solutions. This is just the beginning of transforming citizen services and enhancing defense capabilities, as well as establishing trust and maintaining high levels of security and compliance.”
Rishi Bhaskar, AWS Director of Worldwide Public Sector Partnerships, added, “Citizens today anticipate the same effortless digital experiences from government services as they do from commercial offerings. With this strategic partnership with Accenture, we’re assisting public service organizations in providing those experiences by facilitating innovation through transformational technologies, while assisting them in operating more effectively in today’s difficult environment.”
