As millions of students have been missing out on graduations and class reunions due to social distancing guidelines, Chicago-based tech entrepreneur and father of two, Kevin Malover, wanted to find a way to help them stay connected. He created MyYearbookPages.com, an innovative new site that helps students get their school yearbooks signed virtually by their friends and their teachers.
“Students are missing out on so many things as a result of social distancing and remote learning due to COVID. Yearbooks are such an important part of a school experience – I remember as a kid, being excited about getting mine signed by all my friends,” said Malover. “I wanted my kids to be able to get their yearbooks signed by friends and family, so I developed MyYearbookPages.com, where they can do it all online.”

The site offers an easy-to-use, free, mobile-friendly experience. After creating an online profile, students can invite friends, family, teachers, and coaches to write comments on their virtual yearbooks. The site offers creative options to style and design the yearbook pages. Information is stored on secure commercial servers. Students under the age of thirteen can only access the service from a parent or guardian account under their supervision.
MyYearbookPages.com was recently mentioned in the daily Coronavirus Briefing Newsletter of The New York Times. The site’s user base is fast-growing, and some classes are now planning to use it to create lasting memories for their ten and twenty-year high school and college reunions.
