ClickHouse, Inc., the company behind the world’s fastest and most popular real-time analytical database, announced the acquisition of LibreChat, a leading open-source AI chat platform that provides a unified interface for interacting with large language models (LLMs). The acquisition brings LibreChat founder Danny Avila and his team into ClickHouse.
Together, ClickHouse and LibreChat form the foundation of the open-source agentic data stack, enabling teams to deploy AI agents that analyze large data sets and respond using natural language. This shift to agentic analysis is already transforming how organizations like Shopify, Daimler Truck, Fetch, and cBioPortal use their data, demonstrating its immediate value in practical applications.
At Shopify, LibreChat has become a central part of internal AI workflows. “LibreChat enables reflexive AI use cases across Shopify. With near-universal adoption and thousands of custom agents, teams are using it to solve real-world problems, boost productivity, and maintain high quality standards. By connecting more than 30 internal MCP servers, it democratizes access to critical information across the entire company,” said Matt Burnett, Senior Engineer at Shopify.
In healthcare, cBioPortal is using the combined ClickHouse and LibreChat agentic data stack to unlock new research possibilities. “By leveraging the ClickHouse, MCP, and LibreChat stacks, we quickly delivered a prototype to cBioPortal users, enabling them to ask entirely new questions about cancer genomics and treatment pathways, get answers quickly, and explore data in ways not possible through the existing user interface,” said Ino de Bruijn, Manager of Bioinformatics Software Engineering at cBioPortal. “It puts discovery at the fingertips of cancer researchers.”

The LibreChat acquisition comes as companies are rapidly embracing agentic analytics to democratize data access and accelerate time-to-insight. Fetch, a leading mobile rewards platform, built its FAST AI-powered analytics product on ClickHouse to transform household purchase behavior into actionable business intelligence. “We see agentic analytics as the future of data interaction, enabling more intuitive, dynamic, and impactful uses of information,” said Sam Corzine, Chief Machine Learning Officer at Fetch. “With its unmatched speed and scalability, ClickHouse is uniquely positioned to enable this new generation of agentic experiences, and we’re excited to further expand our partnership.”
ClickHouse uses agentic analysis internally with LibreChat and ClickHouse-powered DWAINE (Data Warehouse AI Natural Expert). This agent now processes approximately 70% of data warehouse queries for over 200 users and deploys 33 million LLM tokens daily (as of October 2025). This is up from 15 million just a few months after launch.
“What impressed me most was LibreChat’s vibrant community that is constantly innovating,” said Dmitry Pavlov, Director of Engineering at ClickHouse. “The synergy between ClickHouse Cloud’s blazing-fast query performance and LibreChat’s flexible, multi-LLM architecture enables a new generation of real-time data analysis agents that are secure, powerful, and accessible.”
For existing LibreChat implementations, operations will remain unchanged, with continued investment in the open-source project and community. ClickHouse users will gain access to enhanced integration capabilities, including a native LibreChat experience alongside ClickHouse Cloud instances, extensive support for data visualization, enterprise-grade security and governance, and a custom semantic layer. These investments ensure the Agentic Data Stack is fully enterprise-ready and meets the requirements of the world’s most demanding organizations.
