Azul, the only company entirely dedicated to Java, has introduced its new Managed Services Provider (MSP) Program for Azul Intelligence Cloud. This initiative empowers Managed Service Providers to integrate advanced Java analytics including inventory tracking, vulnerability detection, and code usage insights into their existing Java advisory, license management, security operations, and DevOps service offerings.
Through the new program, MSPs receive sublicensing and white-label rights to Azul Intelligence Cloud’s powerful SaaS-based features: JVM Inventory, Azul Vulnerability Detection, and Code Inventory. These capabilities enable partners to deliver detailed analytics and reporting across their customers’ Java environments, covering all active JVMs, whether from Oracle, Azul, or any OpenJDK distribution.
By utilizing features like Azul Vulnerability Detection and Code Inventory, partners can go beyond surface-level analytics. They’re equipped to help customers reduce false positives related to Java Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs), identify obsolete or unused code, and improve operational efficiency across Java estates. Azul Intelligence Cloud allows partners to offer expert-led, continuously managed insights that address licensing compliance, enhance security posture, and optimize code performance all without requiring customers to install or manage new tools themselves.

The MSP Program is tailored for channel and service partners aiming to bundle Java insights into their broader managed offerings. Under this model, partners establish dedicated, secure Intelligence Cloud environments for each end-customer and deliver fully branded reporting powered by Azul. This includes managing the lightweight agent deployment, data ingestion, configuration, and scheduled insights. These capabilities can be packaged into offerings such as Java license compliance audits, modernization roadmaps, and managed DevOps services opening new avenues for recurring revenue while delivering value to clients.
“Azul Intelligence Cloud lets us see every JVM our customers use and depend on whether it’s Oracle, Azul, or any other OpenJDK distribution and immediately understand compliance or security gaps,” said Evan Boyd, managing director of Software Licensing Consultants. “Embedding Intelligence Cloud into our managed service portfolio, particularly the annual Java advisory services we provide, means we can deliver faster, more accurate license reconciliation and real-time compliance for our customers while removing the operational burden.”
With this managed service approach, Azul offers several differentiated capabilities for partners:
-
Azul JVM Inventory delivers real-time detection of all active JVMs, detailing version, vendor, installation paths, and associated applications. This enables quick identification of Oracle JVMs that may require commercial licensing, helping partners proactively resolve potential compliance risks.
-
Azul Vulnerability Detection eliminates up to 99% of false positive alerts by leveraging class-level runtime data, empowering security teams to prioritize actual threats and strengthen security outcomes.
-
Azul Code Inventory identifies unused or dead Java code, simplifying modernization efforts and freeing up developer time—potentially up to 40% for higher-value initiatives that generate business impact.
Because partners manage the deployment, monitoring, and reporting aspects of Azul Intelligence Cloud, customers can bypass complex tool integration and instead receive focused, actionable insights. This helps reduce Java licensing costs, mitigate audit risks, and streamline innovation cycles.
“Java estates continue to expand across a myriad of deployment environments, and the cost, time and resources required to get the right licensing and security insights for compliance-oriented decision making can be enormous,” said Simon Taylor, vice president of Global Channel and Alliances at Azul. “By giving partners full, managed access to Azul Intelligence Cloud, we’re equipping them to deliver turnkey services where they can put clear, actionable reporting and insights into the hands of their customers’ decision makers. Ultimately, this mitigates license audit risk and cost, surfaces critical vulnerabilities proactively and reclaims developer capacity for their customers.”
With the launch of this comprehensive MSP Program, Azul continues to strengthen its leadership in Java-focused innovation, enabling partners to deliver impactful, compliance-ready, and security-enhanced services to enterprise customers worldwide.
