GlobalLogic and Hitachi Systems Open State-of-the-Art Cybersecurity Center in Poland

GlobalLogic

On January 7, 2025, GlobalLogic Inc. announced the opening of a new Security Operations Center (SOC) in Kraków, Poland, powered by Hitachi Cyber. This launch comes as cybersecurity risks escalate with the rise of AI-driven attacks, ransomware-as-a-service, and supply chain vulnerabilities. Cyber incidents across Europe have doubled in the past year, significantly impacting critical sectors such as healthcare, energy, and manufacturing, according to recent ENISA reports. Additionally, 70% of companies struggle to secure their assets due to a shortage of skilled cybersecurity professionals, as highlighted in Fortinet’s 2024 Global Cybersecurity Skills Gap Report. The Kraków SOC aims to address these challenges by offering 24/7 monitoring, tailored solutions, and support for compliance with regulations like GDPR and NIS2, while helping organizations strengthen resilience against an increasingly complex threat landscape.

The new SOC offers a combination of advanced services, protecting networks, servers, applications, devices, and processes. Leveraging cutting-edge tools, including AI capabilities, the center provides precise threat monitoring and customized solutions for sectors such as finance, energy, rail, manufacturing, and healthcare. The SOC is equipped to handle the unique security needs of both operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT), with a focus on identifying and responding to threats in each environment. By utilizing advanced tools and AI, the SOC can detect abnormal behaviors and respond swiftly to potential attacks, while also helping organizations meet regulatory requirements and build resilience.

The Kraków center enables small and medium-sized enterprises to outsource SOC functions, offering a fully operational solution without the cost of maintaining infrastructure. For larger organizations, SOC-as-a-Service offers scalable support to meet growing security demands.

Combining GlobalLogic’s digital engineering expertise with Hitachi’s cybersecurity proficiency and market insights, the SOC provides GlobalLogic Secure Application Engineering. This service integrates security throughout an application’s lifecycle, leveraging AI to enhance protective measures and introduce innovative security features, ensuring efficiency and seamless integration.

Matt Castonguay, Chief Revenue Officer at Hitachi Systems Trusted Cyber Management, emphasized that the SOC’s opening reflects Hitachi Cyber’s commitment to safeguarding businesses across Europe. By combining advanced technology with years of expertise, the SOC empowers organizations to navigate complexities, ensure compliance, and build resilience against evolving cybersecurity challenges.

Igor Byeda, Group Vice President of Europe at GlobalLogic, highlighted that the SOC supports European companies in protecting data and reputations. Leveraging Hitachi Cyber’s capabilities, the center addresses both current and future security needs.

The fully operational SOC in Kraków is strategically positioned to support European companies, offering scalable solutions and specialized expertise. By utilizing the center’s skilled professionals and advanced technologies, organizations can optimize security processes, reduce reliance on internal resources, and achieve significant cost savings of £1 to £3 million annually. The SOC contributes to building a secure digital ecosystem in Poland and across Europe.
