Hornetsecurity, a global leader in next-generation cloud-based security, compliance, backup, and security awareness solutions, has announced the signing of a definitive agreement to acquire Altospam, a French email cybersecurity firm. The announcement took place at the Forum INCYBER Europe (FIC) in France, where Hornetsecurity is hosting an immersive experience within the 1,800-square-meter Zenith de Lille space.
The completion of the acquisition is pending approval from the French Ministry for the Economy under the country’s Foreign Direct Investment regulations.
This acquisition aligns with Hornetsecurity’s commitment to delivering European-built cybersecurity solutions to businesses worldwide. It also strengthens the company’s presence in the French market, following its acquisition of Vade Secure in France last year.
Headquartered in Hannover, Germany, Hornetsecurity is recognized for its unified platform, offering a seamless suite of Microsoft 365 cybersecurity, backup, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) solutions, along with security awareness training. Altospam, based in Bordeaux, France, is known for its specialized expertise in email cybersecurity and its solutions for securing professional emails.
