HPE Adds VPC & On-Prem Options to Aruba Central

HPE

Expansion of flagship HPE Aruba Networking Central network management solution addresses increasing demand for data sovereignty with regional and local control of networks; includes built-in security, AI-powered optimization and enhanced observability

Hewlett Packard Enterprise announced a significant expansion of HPE Aruba Networking Central, the company’s AI-driven, security-first network management platform. The latest updates introduce new deployment options—including a virtual private cloud (VPC) environment and a fully air-gapped on-premises solution—designed to meet the growing demands of enterprises and government organizations that require stringent control over data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.

With these new capabilities, HPE becomes the only vendor in the industry to offer advanced, cloud-native AI operations across four flexible deployment models: public SaaS, dedicated VPC, on-premises, and network as a service (NaaS). This positions HPE Aruba Networking Central as the most versatile and comprehensive network management solution on the market.

New Deployment Model Tailored for Government Use

Among the key additions is HPE Aruba Networking Central On-Premises for Government, a deployment option that features FIPS 140-2 certified server hardware to satisfy rigorous government security standards. This solution enables enterprises and public sector agencies to harness advanced AI capabilities for use cases such as AI data capture, model training, and inferencing, all within secure, air-gapped or region-specific cloud environments.

The public cloud and VPC options are backed by the global footprint of HPE GreenLake, ensuring localized cloud availability in key regions worldwide.

Enhanced AIOps and Real-Time Observability

HPE also introduced advancements to its automated AIOps capabilities, enabling continuous monitoring of both wired and wireless networks. A robust suite of AI assistants operates as virtual network architects, delivering proactive diagnostics, intelligent recommendations, and performance optimization—ultimately improving capacity, closing security gaps, and reducing downtime.

Expanded observability features now offer deep telemetry across full-stack environments and third-party IT infrastructures. New capabilities include:

  • A one-year subscription powered by OpsRamp, an HPE company, for integrated monitoring of third-party networking equipment.

  • Enhanced visibility into real-time applications, such as Microsoft Teams, to ensure superior voice and video call performance.

With these innovations, HPE now uniquely addresses the most pressing enterprise challenges for corporate, nonprofit, and government entities with unprecedented network management deployment flexibility,” said Phil Mottram, EVP and general manager, HPE Aruba Networking. “Combined with our continued innovation across AI, security and connectivity, HPE Aruba Networking Central continues to offer the most powerful and versatile network management application on the market, helping organizations meet their security, privacy and control requirements.”

Highlights of the New HPE Aruba Networking Central Capabilities

  • Four deployment models: Customers can now choose between SaaS, VPC, on-premises, or NaaS, offering unmatched flexibility to meet global compliance frameworks including GDPR and FINRA.

  • Always-on AI-powered assistants: Enhanced AIOps deliver real-time optimization alerts and predictive insights to preempt network performance issues.

  • Expanded global Points of Presence (PoPs): Faster, localized data routing with dedicated instances in the U.S., Canada, EU, Middle East and Africa, Asia Pacific, and China.

  • Massive telemetry data lake: Over 5.2 million managed devices and more than 2 billion served endpoints, with significant year-over-year growth. This fuels HPE’s AI models with anonymized data, improving predictive analytics and performance optimization.

  • Third-party observability: Broadened support with the new OpsRamp Extension license, including native integration with Cisco, Arista, and Juniper Networks devices.

  • Microsoft Teams integration: Improved Quality of Experience (QoE) for voice and video calls, with real-time diagnostics and actionable data insights.

  • Robust API integrations: Advanced telemetry insights can now be shared with other enterprise IT tools, positioning HPE Aruba Networking Central as a trusted source of network truth across the stack.

Proven in the Field

Since its launch in 2014, HPE Aruba Networking Central has continuously evolved to support the full lifecycle of network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, wireless, and IoT environments. Organizations like Nobu Hotels and the Royal Jaarbeurs of the Netherlands are already leveraging the platform’s unmatched deployment flexibility and AI capabilities.

HPE Aruba Networking Central is available through an annual subscription model, featuring two licensing tiers—Foundation and Advanced—and is also offered via HPE’s global network of channel partners and managed service providers (MSPs).
