Bentley Systems Expands Asset Analytics Leadership with Strategic Acquisitions of Talon Aerolytics and Pointivo Technology

Bentley Systems

Bentley Systems, Incorporated, a leading global provider of infrastructure engineering software, announced the completed acquisitions of Talon Aerolytics and the technology and technical expertise of Pointivo. Both transactions, which were finalized in December 2025, significantly enhance Bentley’s Asset Analytics capabilities and broaden its AI-powered digital twin solutions for infrastructure owners and operators.

These strategic additions strengthen Bentley’s position in delivering data-driven asset performance and resilience solutions across telecommunications, electric utilities, and other core infrastructure sectors. Bentley’s Asset Analytics portfolio already includes advanced tools such as OpenTower iQ for telecommunication towers and Blyncsy for roadway network insights. The integration of Talon and Pointivo technologies introduces deeper analytical capabilities, helping customers streamline digital workflows that support global 5G deployments and grid modernization initiatives.

Deepening AI and Digital Twin Integration

Talon Aerolytics brings no-code workflows and an AI-enabled platform that supports automated site surveys, recurring inspections, and asset digitization. This technology empowers organizations in wireless telecom, broadband, and electric utility sectors to enhance productivity and gain actionable insights on asset conditions through digital twin-driven analytics.

Rod Dir, chief executive officer of Talon, said, “Over the past decade, Talon has established itself as a trusted intelligent collaboration platform for managing asset lifecycles and analyzing infrastructure with our AI-enabled software. By joining Bentley Systems, we are poised to expand our global reach and enhance asset resilience through the integration of Bentley’s advanced engineering simulation capabilities.”

Klaus Metnitzer, head of deploy execution excellence and serviceability for North America at Nokia, commented, “At Nokia, delivering reliable and resilient networks for our customers and the communities they serve is a top priority. Our collaboration with Talon, leveraging their asset inspection and data intelligence capabilities alongside Nokia’s mobile network engineering and leadership, significantly strengthens this critical foundation. Together, these solutions empower our customers to manage their infrastructure more efficiently, respond rapidly to challenges, and ensure continuous connectivity when it matters most. Talon’s integration with Bentley further enhances our innovation together across infrastructure management workflows to support an integrated grid ranging from towers to distribution poles.”

Enhancing Visual Data Intelligence

The acquisition of Pointivo’s technology further accelerates Bentley’s Asset Analytics roadmap. Pointivo’s platform specializes in advanced drone data processing, geolocation, and AI-powered damage detection turning unstructured visual data into precise and actionable intelligence at scale.
Jacob Garland, Pointivo chief technology officer, added, “Our patented AI-driven inventory and damage detection technology was built to turn vast volumes of unstructured visual data into precise, trustworthy insights. Our team of experts has been at the forefront of advanced point-cloud processing, automated measurement and asset condition detection, and high-fidelity drone capture, all capabilities that naturally complement Bentley’s portfolio, including OpenTower iQ. Now as part of Bentley, our innovations will enable faster, more accurate intelligence at scale, helping asset owners and operators to detect issues earlier and keep critical infrastructure performing at its best.”
Reinforcing Bentley’s Asset Analytics Growth

Bentley Systems leadership highlighted the strategic value of these transactions in scaling the company’s Asset Analytics offerings through expanded AI deployment across infrastructure sectors. The combined solutions aim to support continuous inspections, improve operational performance, and reduce maintenance costs for infrastructure owners.
