Nextcloud Hub will run on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to boost teamwork and productivity capabilities for customers with strict security requirements

Oracle and European open-source leader Nextcloud have joined forces to bring Nextcloud Hub—a comprehensive content collaboration platform—to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This collaboration enables government and enterprise organizations to deploy Nextcloud Hub on OCI’s sovereign cloud offerings, including public, government, dedicated, and air-gapped cloud regions, ensuring compliance with stringent data sovereignty and security standards.

“OCI provides Nextcloud government and business customers with the performance, security, and reliability they need to deliver on their mission and accelerate growth,” said Frank Karlitschek, CEO, Nextcloud. “We are excited to offer Nextcloud Hub on OCI and with automated scaling, robust security features, and predictable pricing we will be able to help our customers meet user demand on a real-time basis.”

By leveraging OCI’s sovereign cloud capabilities, organizations gain access to a secure, hyperscale infrastructure tailored for sensitive workloads.

This includes:

  • Dedicated Infrastructure: Ensures physical and logical separation of workloads, reducing exposure risks.

  • Independent Control Planes: Provides full administrative autonomy for local teams managing their cloud environments.

  • Customer-Managed Encryption: Empowers organizations to retain control of their encryption keys, ensuring only authorized access to sensitive data.

  • Localized Support and Operations: All cloud operations, incident response, and support are managed by in-region Oracle personnel, aligning with regional compliance mandates.

  • Compliance-Ready Framework: Designed to meet international standards such as FedRAMP High and PCI DSS, supporting regulatory alignment across industries.

“Nextcloud Hub on OCI brings secure office and collaboration software to government and enterprise customers,” said Rand Waldron, vice president, Oracle. “This partnership helps provide a compliant environment where teams can communicate with confidence, knowing that our sovereign cloud options comply with data, operational, and other sovereignty regulations.”
