SafeGuard Privacy, a SaaS-based compliance platform that allows publishers, agencies, brands, data providers, and tech platforms to assess, audit, and comply with global privacy compliance laws and requirements, today announced the appointments of Rachel Walkden, COO and Jared Combs to Vice President, Sales. The executive appointments follow a period of high growth at the company and directly report to SafeGuard Privacy founder and CEO, Richy Glassberg. Since the same time last year, SafeGuard Privacy has grown its business by 675%. The Walkden and Combs appointments round out the company’s already impressive leadership team, which includes IAB co-founder Richy Glassberg and global privacy leader Wayne Matus.
“Rachel and Jared are world-class leaders that bring tremendous experience to their roles leading our team and clients through our next phase of growth,” said Richy Glassberg, founder & CEO, SafeGuard Privacy. “We have the utmost faith in their ability to lead privacy-forward organizations into the future in a safer, more compliant and successful way.”
Walkden and Combs are no strangers to the needs of major enterprises, brands, and technology companies.
For 25 years, Walkden led software, SaaS, and services companies, primarily in the digital ad tech and mar-tech spaces. Across her multiple roles leading global operations in COO and GM roles, Walkden helped grow and propel companies like Sizmek, Affinity X and Operative. At SafeGuard Privacy, Walken’s responsibilities include operationalizing customer onboarding and success.
“Joining SafeGuard Privacy at this juncture is timely,” said Combs. “The market has needed much more than the myriad of compliance management solution providers offer, particularly agencies and large, distributed brands and ad tech companies who must be able to react to any given change in their vendor ecosystem immediately. I am thrilled to dive right in and make sure all those who need SafeGuard Privacy are armed and ready for what they face.”
“Now is a key time for SafeGuard Privacy to nail operations as well,” said Walkden. “In a few months, our scale will rival some of the largest marketplace players and we are getting ready.”
“With over 10 years of experience in the cybersecurity and privacy sectors, Combs previously served as a co-chair for the International Association of Privacy Professionals and Sales Director for RadarFirst, a Vista Equity Partners Portfolio Company.”
“I am thrilled to join SafeGuard Privacy at this critical juncture, as the automation of compliance has become a global business imperative,” said Combs. “It is a crucial time for our clients and we are laser-focused on their success.”
As 2023 looms and the complexity and risk global organizations face peaks, SafeGuard Privacy is laser-focused on scaling up to ensure it can serve the myriad of organizations that need its offerings to protect themselves and continue growing.
