Data residency ensures that corporate deposits remain in the EU, meeting stringent security requirements.

Windsurf , a leading AI-powered software developer, announced its first GPU cluster in Germany, as demand for its product grows and the company expands performance capacity across the EU. With more than 100 local enterprise customers already using Windsurf products, the new cluster marks the company’s first major international step toward building a scalable infrastructure for the European market.

Located in Frankfurt, home to some of the world’s most stringent data security regulations, the cluster was a natural fit for Windsurf’s first deployment. This cluster was specifically designed to meet the unique security and performance requirements of European businesses, providing a framework for high performance in even the most complex and secure environments.

“With around 6 million developers across Europe, users deserve an infrastructure that supports them where they are,” said Varun Mohan , CEO of Windsurf. “The demand for secure AI development is undeniable, and with the launch of this GPU cluster, we intend to build on the growing momentum of our existing customers and extend Windsurf’s presence as a leading AI solution.”

Windsurf will also offer EU data residency, ensuring that client code, processing and data retention remain within European borders. Together, the goal is to help organizations meet regulatory standards while reducing latency by over 50%.

“From telcos to fintechs, we are already supporting some of Europe’s most security-conscious companies,” said Anshul Ramachandran, Founding Team. “This marks a critical milestone in our global strategy as we scale the trusted infrastructure across the region.”
