Edgecore Networks and Synaptics have announced a strategic collaboration to accelerate the deployment of scalable Edge AI and AIoT platforms. Revealed ahead of CES 2026, the partnership bridges the gap between high-performance Edge processing and open networking, specifically targeting cloud-connected intelligence for enterprise environments.
The Tech Stack: Astra™ and Wi-Fi HaLow
At the core of the collaboration is the AIoT Edge Hub, a hardware-software solution designed to handle localized AI workloads without the latency of traditional cloud-only architectures.
The platform’s technical architecture includes:
-
Synaptics Astra™ SL1620: An embedded IoT processor dedicated to AI-native workloads.
-
Triple-Combo Wireless: Support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth/BLE, and Thread/Zigbee via the Synaptics Veros™ SYN4612.
-
Extended Range: Integration of Wi-Fi HaLow (powered by Morse Micro) to ensure connectivity in “dead zone” environments like warehouses and large industrial facilities.
AWS Integration and Managed Scalability
A critical differentiator for this platform is its role as an intelligent orchestration layer. By connecting directly to AWS IoT Device Management, the hub allows enterprises to onboard and manage AWS-certified local IoT devices at scale. This integration facilitates remote data acquisition from sensors and high-speed video streaming, providing a centralized view of decentralized edge assets.
“Edge AI succeeds when platforms are designed to scale across real-world environments while integrating seamlessly with the cloud,” says Teng Tai Hsu, VP at Edgecore Networks.

Beyond Telecom: Vertical Market Expansion
The collaboration signals a shift toward specialized enterprise applications. Beyond standard telecommunications, Edgecore and Synaptics are positioning this platform for:
-
Facility Management: Real-time monitoring of building health and energy usage.
-
Smart Retail: Edge-processed analytics for foot traffic and inventory.
-
Commercial Real Estate: Automated orchestration of HVAC and security via AI-native sensing.
The partnership represents a significant step in the evolution of AIoT, moving away from “connected devices” toward “intelligent nodes” capable of making real-time decisions at the source of data generation.
