FS, a trusted global provider of ICT products and solutions, announced the launch of its independently developed DCS-W Series All-Optical Circuit Switch (OCS). Designed to meet the surging demands of AI, HPC, and machine learning clusters, the DCS-W Series combines a fully non-blocking optical matrix switch architecture with an intuitive Web GUI management system, enabling networks to move beyond basic connectivity toward intelligent and programmable control.
Unlike traditional OEO (optical-electrical-optical) devices, the DCS-W Series all-optical switch eliminates signal conversion to deliver protocol- and rate-transparent transmission with ultra-low latency, high energy efficiency, and scalability. Available in 8×8, 16×16, and 32×32 matrix sizes, it supports deployment from labs to large-scale AI training clusters, GPU interconnects, and HPC workloads.
All-optical Architecture, Stable Multi-service Data Transmission
The non-blocking all-optical architecture enables true any-to-any port connections, ensuring smooth traffic scheduling and congestion-free communication even in large, dynamic topologies.
Transparent Transmission, Future-Proof Scalability
DCS-W Series OCS supports a wide range of data rates from 1G to 800G and future 1.6T with compatibility across Ethernet, OTN, SDH, Fibre Channel, and other major protocols. By eliminating the need for additional protocol adaptation and hardware upgrades, it significantly reduces long-term operational costs.

Built-in OPD, Real-time Network Monitoring
Built-in Optical Power Detection (OPD) continuously monitors port signal strength, quickly identifying attenuation or fiber breaks, significantly shortening troubleshooting and repair times.
Web GUI Management, Efficient Operations & Maintenance
Browser-based interface provides visual port status and alarm information. Configuration and diagnostics can be completed without complex CLI commands, accelerating deployment and reducing operational complexity.
“The DCS-W Series reflects FS’s commitment to intelligent, reconfigurable optical networks,” said Bener Peng, Product R&D Manager of FS. “It enables programmable, flexible topologies for data centers and AI/HPC clusters, enhancing existing networks or building streamlined architectures, while reducing power, cost, hardware complexity, and latency, and improving overall network availability.”
