Collaboration to launch Aeris Internet of Things Watchtower into the Asia-Pacific region to help close security gap in cellular Internet of Things networks
Aeris Communications, Inc., a global leader in secure cellular IoT platforms and solutions, has announced an expanded collaboration with Bridge Alliance, the leading coalition of top-tier mobile network operators across Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This strategic move brings the Aeris IoT Watchtower to the Asia-Pacific region, providing enterprises with a powerful, agentless solution to monitor, assess, and mitigate cyber threats targeting cellular IoT deployments.
This extended agreement builds upon Aeris’ existing role in delivering IoT connectivity management services through its Aeris IoT Accelerator (IoTA) platform to participating Bridge Alliance Member Operators (BMOs). With the addition of IoT Watchtower, the partnership now offers enterprises full-spectrum visibility into their IoT device ecosystem, along with real-time tools to proactively reduce the risk of cyberattacks.
Enterprises are increasingly vulnerable to cyber threats, with IoT devices now among the most targeted attack vectors. According to Forrester, these devices have become the primary entry point for corporate cyberattacks. Traditional IoT connectivity platforms often fall short in providing the visibility and control needed to prevent such breaches.
At the same time, industries such as automotive and utilities are rapidly adopting cellular IoT to drive innovation, operational efficiency, and new revenue streams. Global cellular IoT connections have surged to 1.1 billion devices and are expected to grow at a 16% CAGR over the next three years, as per Berg Insight. Asia-Pacific alone currently hosts 170 million connected devices a figure projected to nearly double by 2030.

To close the widening gap in IoT security, Aeris and Bridge Alliance are introducing Aeris IoT Watchtower to enterprises across Asia-Pacific. The solution features two core components Awareness and Enforcement to provide real-time breach detection, actionable insights, and ongoing risk assessments. This ensures not only threat prevention but also supports regulatory compliance and enhances overall operational resilience.
Already deployed across the United States and Europe, IoT Watchtower is now available in Asia-Pacific markets through Bridge Alliance’s network.
Aeris will showcase its solutions at the upcoming Bridge Alliance CXO Forum 2025 on November 17, where the company will serve as a Diamond Sponsor.
Dr. Ong Geok Chwee, CEO of Bridge Alliance, said, “The commercial launch of Aeris IoT Watchtower in Asia-Pacific for our BMOs and their customers is a milestone in enhancing security for the IoTA platform, and will boost security and regulatory compliance for enterprise IoT deployments and offer advanced network visibility to meet cybersecurity needs. We look forward to extending Watchtower into more APAC markets in the coming months.”
Mark Cratsenburg, Chief Commercial Officer for the IoT Business Unit at Aeris, emphasizes the ease of use: “Aeris IoT Watchtower offers real-time protection with zero friction. Forget agents, special SIM cards, or complex rerouting. We provide enterprises complete visibility into their cellular IoT security risks and the ability to neutralize threats before they impact operations, all seamlessly built into their existing cellular data path.”
