LTIMindtree, a global technology and digital solutions consultancy, has launched a Quantum-Safe Virtual Private Network (VPN) at its London location -Link started, which is state of the art. This is an exciting step towards quantum secure communications, with data transmission already protected from the lurking threat of “harvest now, decrypt later”. LTIMindtree’s Quantum-Safe VPN demonstrates the practical application of Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) in an active network. Quantum-based key generation and out-of-band key transfer are used, which are secured via post-quantum cryptography algorithms, the standardization of which is currently in progress by NIST. This strengthens the security and integrity of the encrypted data.
LTIMindtree’s Quantum-Safe VPN platform is built in close collaboration with its partners Quantum Xchange, a leader in quantum-safe communications solutions, and Fortinet, the global cybersecurity leader driving the convergence of networks and security. Quantum LTIMindtree brings its domain-specific expertise in integration and implements the Quantum-Safe VPN link across its entire active network.
Aan Chauhan, Chief Technology Officer, LTIMindtree, said: “As a forward-thinking partner, LTIMindtree has an eye on the future challenges of quantum safe security and aims to get ahead of them. Our collaboration with Quantum Xchange and Fortinet underlines this. We strive to expand our expertise in quantum safe security solutions to apply the latest tools and methodologies. “This is driven by the promise of providing our customers with the best possible security in an increasingly threatening environment.”
This platform offers multiple benefits and opportunities to the customers and stakeholders. LTIMindtree’s Quantum-Safe VPN is designed as a robust testbed and not only drives the development of industry-specific solutions, but also enables customers to create industry-specific prototypes, promoting the use of this advanced infrastructure. LTIMindtree’s customers can benefit from the opportunity to experiment with quantum safe technologies and explore their potential applications in different sectors and scenarios.
