Telenor Group announces expanded partnership with Google Cloud to accelerate Telenor’s digital transformation through enhanced data capabilities.

Supporting Telenor’s AI focus and cloud ambitions, Telenor is transforming how the company harnesses the power of its data by partnering with Google Cloud to provide a unified data and analytics platform that will improve customer experiences, support new product development and simplify operations.
Leveraging Google Cloud’s portfolio of data analytics and analytics products and solutions, Telenor will use Google Cloud’s BigQuery, along with Vertex AI and Looker, to transform existing on-premises data platforms across Telenor’s Nordic businesses into a harmonized cloud-based data orchestration and analytics platform called Nova. Nova will enable Telenor to seamlessly deploy any cloud instance, leveraging data and AI across its core operations to deliver hyper-personalized customer experiences, optimize network operations, and support operational excellence across Telenor in the Nordics.

In addition, Google Cloud will provide Telenor with real-time data processing tools including Dataflow, Cloud Data Fusion, Pub/Sub, Dataform and Dataplex, enabling Telenor to gain real-time insights into hundreds or terabytes of data, generate deeper insights in minutes rather than days, and support data governance and faster creation of AI products.
