Bamboo Health (or the “Company”), a national healthcare technology company, announced the appointment of Jeff Smith as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). With over 25 years of experience in shaping and leading healthcare technology enterprises, Smith takes the helm at Bamboo Health to guide the Company into a new era. Jay Desai, previously Bamboo Health’s interim CEO, will continue to serve on the Company’s Board of Directors as Executive Chair and will support Smith in shaping the strategic direction of the business. Smith’s career is characterized by his focus on customer needs, a track record of growth and technological innovation through collaboration with physicians and pharmacists, and an ability to build and lead teams to drive outcomes.
Most recently, Smith served as President of the value-based care enablement business at Lumeris, a provider of value-based care and technology-enabled population health services. Additionally, Smith was the founder of an electronic prescribing company, which was eventually acquired by Allscripts. His career encompasses leadership roles at CVS Health, including head of Enterprise Strategy and Acquisitions, Physician Connectivity and, most recently, overseeing Population Health Management. Smith has also played influential roles on several healthcare industry boards of directors, including six years at Surescripts.
