Cotiviti, a leader in data-driven healthcare solutions, has welcomed seasoned technology leader Suvajit Gupta as its new Chief Technology Officer as the organization drives innovation across its portfolio of solutions that serve healthcare payers and retailers. Bringing more than 30 years of experience in technology leadership to Cotiviti, Gupta will be tasked with shaping the organization’s technology strategy, leading research and development, and aligning technology initiatives with business objectives.
“As a partner to more than 200 payers and top retailers across the country, Cotiviti is committed to delivering meaningful innovation to our clients through our dynamic, integrated SaaS solutions,” said Emad Rizk, M.D., president and CEO of Cotiviti. “By creating the role of Chief Technology Officer and bringing Suvajit Gupta’s extensive record of accomplishments in driving state of the art technology, deploying robust AI capabilities, and delivering low-code/no-code investments into our organization, Cotiviti is continuing to demonstrate our commitment to leveraging the most advanced technologies to help our clients achieve their business goals.”

Gupta joins Cotiviti from Appian Corporation, where he served for more than a decade as executive vice president of engineering and led a team of more than 700 across product management, development, and quality assurance. His accomplishments included transforming the user experience for building and consuming web and mobile applications on Appian’s low-code platform and championing innovation across the enterprise. Prior to Appian, Gupta served as chief architect and vice president of development for Eloqua.
“Cotiviti understands that technology’s true value does not lie in the technology itself, but rather how it’s used in partnership with human expertise and advanced analytics to deliver improved performance for customers without sacrificing quality,” said Gupta. “I’m eager to work with Cotiviti’s talented employees to advance Cotiviti’s vision to improve the quality and sustainability of our healthcare system.”
Cotiviti’s most recently introduced technology-driven solutions include 360 Pattern Review, which leverages artificial intelligence to rapidly identify potential healthcare fraud, waste, and abuse, and Zero Hour Alerts, which empowers large retailers to prevent payment errors. Gupta will report directly to Dr. Rizk and lead Cotiviti’s software development and R&D teams.
