MEDITECH to Spotlight Intelligent Interoperability at HIMSS24

MEDITECH

As the healthcare industry continues to advance new technologies and care models to reduce clinician burden, improve consumer satisfaction, and provide targeted patient-centered care, the need for interoperable health records has never been greater. As a longtime interoperability leader and advocate, MEDITECH is once again excited to feature its latest interoperability innovations in the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase.

MEDITECH will present its interoperability strategy at the Interoperability Showcase Spotlight Theater on Wednesday, March 13 at 11:15 a.m. in the “Intelligent Interoperability” session. MEDITECH Senior Director of Interoperability Market and Product Strategy Mike Cordeiro will be joined by Director of Interoperability Development Chris Kundra to share their strategies on leveraging EHR intelligence to ensure data is available in a timely, appropriate, and precise manner.

“Innovation is happening at such a rapid pace that it’s virtually impossible for any solution or health system to provide everything,” explains Cordeiro. “Intelligent interoperability opens the doors to innovation by leveraging the flexibility and scalability of the cloud, along with modern and open data standards like SMART apps and FHIR APIs. Our strategy ensures that healthcare organizations are not beholden to a single vendor solution to stay ahead of the latest emerging technologies, like AI and consumer-facing apps. With MEDITECH Expanse, we aim to provide all healthcare organizations with a sustainable, future-proof platform that encourages independence, controls costs, scales with increasing demands, and enables innovation to thrive.”
