Provation has introduced a new artificial intelligence-driven capability designed to transform clinical documentation during gastrointestinal (GI) procedures. The solution, Provation® Mira Documentation Assist, is integrated into the company’s cloud-based Provation® Apex platform and enables physicians to capture structured clinical data in real time using voice input.
The hands-free feature allows clinicians to dictate notes as procedures unfold, significantly reducing reliance on manual data entry and post-procedure documentation. By embedding documentation directly into the clinical workflow, the tool aims to enhance efficiency while maintaining accuracy and compliance standards.
“Mira brings documentation directly into the procedure flow. By capturing key elements in real-time, it reduces the need for physicians to recall and reconstruct details after the case,” said Executive Medical Director, Lukasz Kowalczyk, MD.

Early adopters report notable productivity gains. Physicians using the tool highlight reduced administrative workload between cases, enabling them to focus more on patient care. “Mira has drastically evolved what I do in between patients… At optimal efficiency, I’m not typing or clicking at all in between the cases I’m reviewing. I would say about 75% less time now with Mira,” said Neil D. Parikh, MD.
Powered by advanced AI algorithms, the system converts spoken input into structured documentation aligned with coding, reporting, and quality requirements. This ensures data consistency while minimizing the cognitive burden typically associated with recalling procedural details after completion.
“A significant portion of the documentation burden in procedural care comes from having to remember and reconstruct details after the case,” said Ankush Kaul, President of Provation. “Mira addresses that by capturing key elements of the procedure in real time—reducing cognitive load for physicians while preserving the structured, high-quality documentation our customers depend on. It’s a meaningful step toward a more intelligent, workflow-native platform – where documentation increasingly happens in the moment of care, not after it.”
The launch underscores Provation’s broader push toward AI-enabled clinical productivity, positioning real-time, voice-driven documentation as a critical component of next-generation healthcare workflows.
