RF Technologies (RFT), a leading provider of healthcare and senior living safety and security solutions, has announced the expansion of its Code Alert Quick Response Fall Management Solutions portfolio. The expanded portfolio offers three options for fall detection, including a highly accurate sensor-based technology, a wearable pendant, and a cost-effective sensor pad.
Falls are a significant concern for residents in senior living communities, and preventing falls is a top priority for caregivers. RF Technologies’ Code Alert Quick Response Fall Management Solutions provide reliable and customizable options to ensure that caregivers are alerted quickly in the event of a fall.
“RF Technologies is committed to providing the most advanced and reliable fall management solutions to senior living communities and health systems,” said Paul Larson, VP New Product Development and Engineering Services of RF Technologies. “We understand that preventing falls is a top priority for caregivers, and our expanded portfolio of fall management solutions provides reliable options that can be customized to meet the needs of each and every resident.”
The first option in the fall solutions portfolio is an unprecedented, highly accurate sensor-based technology that uses camera-free radio frequency technology to provide 24/7 touchless monitoring. This option delivers real-time fall detection that works in all lighting conditions, dense steam, and high humidity while protecting people and respecting their individual privacy. The system is integrated with RFT’s nurse call systems for added convenience and alerting through Code Alert Enterprise-enabled devices.
The second option in the fall solutions portfolio is a mobile, wearable technology worn by the resident on a pendant. The wearable solution uses accelerometers to detect falls and sends an automatic alert to caregivers via Code Alert Enterprise-enabled devices. This option is ideal for residents who are more active or mobile as it includes technology that enables advanced location features. The device also includes a highly visible button that activates nurse call.
The third option in the fall solutions portfolio is a cost-effective, disposable sensor pad that is placed on the patient or resident’s mattress or chair. The sensor pad detects changes in pressure and alerts caregivers if the patient or resident gets out of bed or a chair. This option is ideal for those who are less active or have limited mobility. Further, the device works right out of the box, with the optional ability to tie into existing nurse call systems.
