Nation’s largest acute specialty telemedicine provider continues momentum into its third decade in operation
The announcement comes on the heels of an incredible year of growth for Access TeleCare. In 2024, the company’s 20th year in operation, it announced a new partnership with UT Southwestern as well as impressive results from its work with several hospitals and health systems. It also detailed the deepening of its bench of physician-executives. The company hired over 215 clinicians in 2024 to meet the dynamic needs of its growing roster of health system clients and performed over 300 implementations of telemedicine programs.
“We are committed to delivering timely, high-quality specialty care close to a patient’s home,” said Chris Gallagher, M.D., CEO of Access TeleCare. “The need for access to services for patients suffering from behavioral health issues continues to grow, and no one understands this need more intimately than Dr. Genovese, who has 20 years of clinical leadership and helmed one of the nation’s leading providers of behavioral health care. He will play a critically-important role in helping Access TeleCare continue to provide access to high-quality behavioral health care to the greatest number of patients possible.”
Prior to joining Access TeleCare, Dr. Genovese held the same title at a large, publicly-traded behavioral healthcare services company, overseeing the organization’s network of more than 500 behavioral health facilities across 39 states. In his new role, Dr. Genovese will lead the company’s Behavioral Health division in addressing the nation’s growing mental health needs and spearhead the company’s deployments of virtual behavioral health in hospitals and health systems, the largest in the U.S.
