Armis acquires AI cybersecurity company CTCI

Armis

Armis , the asset intelligence cybersecurity company, announced that it has acquired CTCI ( Cyber Threat Cognitive Intelligence) , a privately held company focused on AI-based threat detection technologies specializes in anticipating threats in advance of attacks.

In a private transaction completed this week, Armis acquired all of CTCI’s technology and employees and is expected to merge the company with Armis within the next 30 days. Armis will integrate CTCI’s technology into Armis Centrix™ . This creates the world’s most advanced cyber intelligence early warning system, helping security teams more effectively prevent breaches, detect attacks and determine whether an organization has been compromised.

“ As cyber threats continue to intensify, we recognize the importance of getting ahead of attacks. “It’s time for security professionals to redefine the way they work by proactively detecting and stopping attacks, rather than acting only after an attack has already occurred,” said Yevgeny Dibrov, CEO and co-founder of Armis. “ This acquisition demonstrates our unwavering commitment to providing the single platform for managing the entire attack surface. Companies and organizations that leverage Armis Centrix™ for Actionable Threat Intelligence will be strongly positioned to address cyber risk.”

CTCI is an AI company founded in 2020 by CEO Andrew Grealy and CTO Michael Freeman. Armis Centrix™ leverages Armis’ Asset Intelligence Engine and feeds CTCI’s proprietary information database to provide early warning indicators based on information from the dark web, AI-based honeypots and known adversaries to protect organizations from potential security breaches or attacks to warn.

“ Security professionals are inundated with a barrage of information every day and often find themselves in a reactive security position with little to no warning of attacks,” said Andrew Grealy, CEO and co-founder of CTCI. “ The fusion of Armis’ comprehensive visibility, security and control and CTCI’s advanced AI enables organizations to proactively take security measures and nip attacks in the bud.”

CTCI’s technology will be integrated into the Armis Centrix™ platform. This creates a groundbreaking opportunity to identify threats and neutralize them before they are actually implemented. Using a combination of artificial intelligence and machine learning, Armis Centrix™ for Actionable Threat Intelligence scours the Dark Web and provides advanced visualization and alerting capabilities that provide organizations with actionable intelligence before a vulnerability is known, before an attack is actually launched, and before an organization becomes a victim.

As described in a recent blog , Armis is pursuing an ambitious five-year strategy to create the leading cyber risk management platform and become the world’s largest asset intelligence company. The company will analyze various technologies to make its award-winning Armis Centrix™ platform the solution of choice for Fortune 100, Fortune 200 and Fortune 500 companies and government agencies around the world.
