The investment round was led by Forgepoint Capital, along with Origami’s Oquirrh Ventures, and saw participation from Craig Abod, Founder and President of Carahsoft, NextEra Energy Ventures, Gula Tech Adventures, and the 1Kosmos executive team.
With this new round, the company’s total funding now exceeds $72 million, building on its $15 million Series A round. The fresh capital will enable 1Kosmos to address surging enterprise demand for identity-first security solutions, as organizations face a wave of impersonation-based cyber threats. Recent high-profile breaches, such as the Scattered Spider attack and incidents involving North Korean “shadow IT employees,” have underscored how cybercriminals are exploiting account recovery processes particularly through IT service desks to bypass defenses.
1Kosmos tackles these vulnerabilities by delivering live biometric verification, authenticated digital identities, and phishing-resistant passwordless login, effectively blocking intrusions before they occur.

The company recently became the only full-service Kantara-certified Credential Service Provider to achieve FedRAMP High authorization qualifying its platform for the U.S. government’s most security-critical workloads. In partnership with Carahsoft, 1Kosmos also secured a 10-year, $194.5 million blanket purchase agreement to deliver next-generation identity proofing to Login.gov, the federal authentication platform used across multiple agencies.
