Bitdefender Expands Cybersecurity Ecosystem with New Technology Alliance Partner Program

Bitdefender

On December 19, 2024, Bitdefender, a global leader in cybersecurity, launched its new Technology Alliance Partner program. This initiative simplifies and streamlines the process of building, testing, validating, and documenting interoperability between partner technologies and the Bitdefender GravityZone Platform. The program enables Bitdefender customers to enhance their security operations by seamlessly integrating top-tier technologies into their ecosystem, while also offering resellers and managed service providers (MSPs) new opportunities to sell validated interoperating solutions for smooth functionality in complex, multi-vendor environments.

Technology partnerships are crucial for strengthening cybersecurity effectiveness and operational efficiency by extending protection, sharing information, and enhancing capabilities across customer environments, noted Estee Robinson, director of global channel & alliances for Devo, a Technology Alliance Partner. By combining the Devo Security Data Platform with Bitdefender, organizations can achieve better data control and significantly improve their security posture and overall effectiveness. Robinson expressed excitement about advancing the joint efforts to meet the ongoing challenges posed by the evolving cybersecurity threat landscape.

As part of its Technology Alliance Partner program, Bitdefender collaborates with technology partners to assess and qualify how their solutions integrate with the GravityZone Platform. This includes both public and private application programming interfaces (APIs). Once a potential integration is qualified, Bitdefender provides the partner with the necessary resources such as software development kits (SDKs), software, documentation, and technical support to build, test, and validate the integration. This ensures that GravityZone and partner technologies interoperate securely and efficiently within an organization’s security operations, facilitating information sharing, supporting critical use cases, and reducing costs by improving efficiency.

Bitdefender’s GravityZone Platform offers a unified security and risk analytics solution that includes advanced endpoint protection (EPP), endpoint detection and response (EDR), extended detection and response (XDR), and cloud security for physical, virtual, and multi-cloud environments. The platform provides deep security context for threat detection and can be deployed alongside Bitdefender’s managed detection and response (MDR) service. Its flexible architecture offers numerous integration points, enabling technology partners to integrate their solutions seamlessly, further strengthening security across diverse security ecosystems.

Key Features and Benefits of Bitdefender’s Technology Alliance Partner Program include:

  • Validated and Documented Technology Integrations: The program enables customers, resellers, and MSP partners to derive significant value from Bitdefender GravityZone’s integration with third-party security technologies. A dedicated website hosts information on partners, validated use cases, and links to additional documentation. A web portal provides access to APIs and testing tools, supporting integration efforts that reduce risk, enhance security, and lower costs.
  • Joint Partner Promotion, Marketing, and Sales: The program expands market reach for participating technology partners through reciprocal branding, collaborative marketing, and access to new sales opportunities. Partners can create joint collateral, participate in sales events, co-sponsor tradeshows, and co-host webinars, enhancing visibility and prospect engagement. By simplifying integration, the program aligns Bitdefender and its partners to drive impactful security outcomes. It also offers opportunities for channel partners to pursue expanded marketing and solution selling.
  • Comprehensive Training and Certification: Partners gain access to on-demand and virtual training resources to understand GravityZone and other Bitdefender technologies. This supports integration and validation efforts, customer service, product demonstrations, and joint selling. Through extensive training, partners deepen their knowledge of Bitdefender technologies and, when applicable, earn technical/commercial certifications to sell and implement Bitdefender solutions.

Doug Hurd, director of technology alliances at Bitdefender, emphasized that as cyberattacks increase in frequency and sophistication globally, businesses need a layered, defense-in-depth security approach for resilience. The Technology Alliance Partner program enables organizations to integrate leading threat prevention, detection, and response capabilities into their infrastructure. By uniting top industry technologies, Bitdefender helps customers and partners tackle their toughest security challenges with greater ease, flexibility, and effectiveness.
