iProov Unveils Device-Independent Facial Biometric MFA to Combat Workforce Identity Theft

iProov

iProov, a leader in biometric identity verification, has introduced iProov Workforce MFA, a device-independent, FIDO Alliance-certified facial biometric authentication solution aimed at mitigating account takeovers and reducing costs associated with password resets.

The proliferation of SaaS applications and a diverse, often remote workforce have expanded the attack surface for organizations. Traditional multi-factor authentication (MFA) methods can be cumbersome, especially when users lack access to their devices, leading to increased password reset requests. Notably, password resets account for 40% of help desk calls, each costing an average of $70.

iProov Workforce MFA addresses these challenges by providing scalable, device-independent facial authentication that enhances security without compromising user experience. The solution integrates with major identity providers, including Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, and Ping Identity, via the OpenID Connect protocol.

Andrew Bud, founder and CEO of iProov, emphasized the importance of this innovation:“Identities can be compromised at every stage in the user lifecycle, from the interview process through to offboarding. These risks are exacerbated by the complexities of remote work and extended workforces, exposing the vulnerabilities of traditional MFA solutions.”

By eliminating the need for additional devices and reducing integration complexities, iProov Workforce MFA offers organizations a seamless and secure authentication method, enhancing protection against identity theft and unauthorized access.
