The division’s first research publication, Using Genuine Business Domains to Harvest Credentials, dissects a complex phishing campaign aimed at compromising Microsoft credentials across multiple organizations. This campaign exploited a compromised domain, along with its subdomains, bulk email services, and an open redirect vulnerability, to bypass detection mechanisms and maximize user engagement.
“KnowBe4 Threat Labs will specialize in topic areas related to social engineering, phishing, and human-factor security,” said Jack Chapman, head of threat intelligence, Egress, a KnowBe4 company. “It will help to empower organizations to strengthen their security posture through cutting-edge research and timely threat analysis.”
By launching Threat Labs, KnowBe4 continues to enhance its commitment to human risk management, equipping businesses with the intelligence and tools needed to defend against ever-evolving cyber threats.
