Nokia and NestAI have teamed up. Their goal is to speed up innovation in AI for defense and critical infrastructure systems. Nokia and the Finnish sovereign fund Tesi (Finnish Industry Investment Ltd) have invested €100 million in NestAI. This shows their strong commitment.
NestAI is quickly becoming one of Europe’s top physical AI labs. It focuses on next-gen AI for unmanned vehicles. It also covers autonomous operations and command-and-control (C2) platforms. Its applications span logistics, inspection, surveillance, security, and defense.
Driving Co-Innovation for Secure, AI-Native Defense Solutions
Nokia sees connectivity as key in defense operations. So, it has set up a special defense incubation unit. This unit will collaborate closely with partners across the U.S., Finland, NATO, and Five Eyes nations to drive forward AI-native systems.
Nokia uses its strong skills in secure connectivity, sensing, and multimedia through this partnership. NestAI offers advanced platforms for unmanned systems, command and control, and AI. Both organizations will use engineering teams and R&D resources to speed up innovation. They will focus on unmanned operations, data-driven command systems, and advanced information management.
