SixMap Inc., the leader in automated continuous threat exposure management, announced the appointment of Jason Kaplan as Chief Executive Officer. Austin Murdock, founder, will continue to drive the company as Chairman and Chief Scientist.
Kaplan brings over two decades of experience building successful cyber security and tech companies with a proven track record of driving innovation and growth. He most recently served as CEO of CyTwist and is an advisory board member for multiple tech startups.
“SixMap’s computational mapping technology promises to fundamentally change how governments and enterprises view their networks and assets, prioritize threats, and remediate the most dangerous and timely exploits,” said Kaplan. “I look forward to joining this proven team and support SixMap’s mission to defend the global Internet that is the foundation of large enterprise, critical infrastructure and government organizations.”

Under Murdock’s leadership, SixMap has developed the world’s first technology platform that continuously identifies every Internet-connected asset across the extended enterprise, including subsidiaries, acquisitions, and affiliated third parties across all locations—often discovering vulnerabilities and exposed services that are not found by current tools on the market. All that is needed is an enterprise name, since SixMap employs a zero-touch architecture and requires no agents or manual configuration. SixMap fuses global threat intelligence information with the comprehensive picture of an organization’s external attack surface to identify imminent threats and is the only solution in the market to offer supervised auto-fix capabilities.
“The appointment of Jason as CEO, with the support of our expanding executive team, will enable me to focus on strategy, product, research, and engineering as we continue to expand our business with the federal government and the commercial sector,” said Murdock.
SixMap also announced the appointment of Andrew Glinka to VP of Sales. Glinka brings deep experience as a sales executive who understands the business and technical needs of large enterprise security leaders and teams. He previously served at Dell Technologies as Vice President of Competitive Intelligence and Global Director of Sales Strategy.
