UiPath exhibiting at booth 612 at Microsoft Build conference to showcase how customers can use the bi-directional platform integration to orchestrate Microsoft agents alongside UiPath agents using UiPath Maestro™
UiPath, a global leader in agentic automation, announced expanded capabilities within UiPath Maestro™, its enterprise-grade orchestration solution, enabling developers to coordinate Microsoft Copilot Studio agents alongside UiPath and third-party agents. This advancement empowers businesses to unify automation efforts across multiple systems, streamlining complex workflows and maximizing productivity.
This new feature builds upon the recently introduced bi-directional integration between the UiPath Platform™ and Microsoft Copilot Studio, announced by Microsoft. The integration allows seamless collaboration between UiPath and Microsoft agents, enabling businesses to automate comprehensive end-to-end processes, make context-driven decisions, scale operations efficiently, and unlock enhanced productivity. Developers can now natively embed UiPath automations and AI-driven agents into Microsoft Copilot Studio, while also integrating Copilot agents into UiPath Studio—delivering synchronized orchestration through UiPath Maestro.
“Our continued partnership with Microsoft enables millions of Microsoft users to take full advantage of the capabilities and flexibility offered by agentic automation and orchestration,” said Graham Sheldon, Chief Product Officer at UiPath. “The UiPath multi-agent, cross-system capability uniquely enables seamless interaction and collaboration across various enterprise systems and applications, breaking down silos and enhancing overall operational efficiency.”
Fostering an Open and Scalable Automation Ecosystem
Modern enterprise processes often span across legacy applications, cloud platforms, desktop tools, documents, and human interactions. While many agentic platforms pursue closed ecosystems, UiPath remains committed to an open, interoperable approach. By leveraging the deep integration with Microsoft Copilot Studio, UiPath Maestro empowers organizations to orchestrate agents across ecosystems—ensuring control, scalability, and business-focused outcomes.
“You cannot automate a process in isolation; integrating across technology boundaries is necessary for real business impact,” remarked Ramnath Natarajan, Director of Global Intelligent Automation & Integration at Johnson Controls.

Real-World Impact and Customer Success
Organizations already using Microsoft Copilot Studio agents and Power Automate for tasks such as email monitoring, classification, and intelligent Q&A are seeing tangible benefits by augmenting these workflows with UiPath’s advanced agentic automation.
A notable example comes from Johnson Controls, which enhanced an existing automation solution—originally developed using UiPath robots and Power Automate—by integrating a UiPath agent for confidence-based document extraction. This upgrade delivered a 500% return on investment and is projected to save 18,000 hours annually that were previously consumed by manual document processing.
“This bi-directional integration harnesses the combined strengths of Microsoft Copilot and UiPath agents to fully automate complex workflows across documents, emails, PowerApps, and enterprise systems,” added Ramnath Natarajan, Director of Global Intelligent Automation & Integration Johnson Controls.
Empowering Developers to Build Intelligent Automation at Scale
The integration also enhances developer capabilities by supporting coded agents built using LangGraph. These agents can now run natively on the UiPath Platform without any code modifications, enabling Python developers to leverage the full suite of UiPath features—governance, security, and performance evaluation—while orchestrating LangChain agents within broader enterprise processes.
With these advancements, UiPath continues to shape the future of AI-powered automation by bridging technology silos and enabling enterprise-wide orchestration for smarter, scalable, and more agile operations.
