Airgain and Nextivity Partner to Advance Integrated 4G and 5G Coverage Solutions

Airgain

Airgain, Inc. and Nextivity, Inc. have entered into a strategic partnership to co-develop next-generation integrated solutions to boost 4th and 5th Generation network connectivity in complex indoor and outdoor environments. The partnership has developed an architecture to deliver advanced coverage solutions, with Airgain and Nextivity working together to integrate Airgain’s Lighthouse 5G Intelligent Node platform and Nextivity’s family of intelligent cellular boosters, powered by its IntelliBoost processor. The partnership is designed to address the increasingly pressing need for advanced and reliable wireless connectivity in complex environments, where traditional macro networks fail to deliver coverage. The partnership is particularly timely as enterprises, operators, and public safety entities continue to deploy mid-band 5G networks, thus creating an enormous need for cost-effective coverage solutions that can accommodate denser network deployments and data usage. The partnership is designed to utilize the capabilities of Airgain, with its focus on smart beam-forming antenna systems and integrated connectivity platforms, and Nextivity, with its industry leadership in intelligent cellular coverage solutions, to deliver site-wide coverage that seamlessly extends beyond the walls of the building.

According to Dr. Ali Sadri, Chief Technology Officer of Airgain, “This partnership establishes a path for combining Airgain’s smart beam forming antenna systems and Lighthouse™ 5G Intelligent Node platform with Nextivity’s intelligent coverage technologies. Together, we are driving the development of integrated systems to extend 4G and 5G coverage across complex indoor and outdoor environments.” The collaboration is also expected to accelerate go-to-market opportunities by aligning both companies’ technologies across operator and infrastructure channels, allowing them to address a rapidly expanding market that includes mixed-use environments requiring reliable connectivity across indoor and outdoor spaces. Echoing this strategic vision, Dr. Michiel Lotter, Chief Executive Officer of Nextivity, stated, “Nextivity has built a global reputation for delivering high-performance, intelligent cellular coverage systems in partnership with Mobile Network Operators. This strategic partnership with Airgain positions both companies to address an expanding set of customer coverage requirements that extend into outdoor environments. We’re excited about the broader opportunities this collaboration creates for both companies.” The two firms also intend to further interact with the industry players at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona 2026, where they intend to meet operators, partners, and ecosystem players to discuss the partnership, as well as the opportunities for the advancement of the solutions for the coverage of 4G and 5G.
