Bota has launched SAION AI, a Physical AI platform. It connects artificial intelligence with real-world biology and biomanufacturing. SAION AI is different from traditional AI. While traditional AI focuses on digital modeling, SAION AI combines cognition, orchestration, and execution. This creates a seamless framework for AI-driven discovery and automated lab experiments. The platform uses a three-layer architecture. It combines biological reasoning from large language models with an orchestration engine. This engine coordinates multi-agent workflows and over 300 specialized scientific tools. Its execution layer translates experimental designs into machine-readable instructions using Bota’s proprietary Biological Protocol Language, allowing the system to directly operate laboratory hardware and continuously feed experimental results back into the AI model for ongoing optimization.

The Cognition layer draws on extensive biological datasets from Bota’s Cell2Cloud Biofoundry, including millions of scientific publications, patents, and experimental data points to support multi-scale biological analysis across genes, proteins, cells, and fermentation systems. Early performance benchmarks indicate strong results across life science tasks, with SAION AI demonstrating over 90% accuracy in completing end-to-end research workflows from literature analysis to wet-lab experimentation.
