Trafficmind Strengthens Global Anycast Network with Strategic Osaka Expansion

Trafficmind

Trafficmind.com announced that it has expanded its global Anycast network significantly, following the addition of new edge capacity in Osaka, Japan, which will enable the company to better serve latency, sensitive and compliance, driven workloads across the Asia, Pacific region. The Osaka node, which is hosted in carrier, neutral Equinix facilities, will be able to handle 100 Gbps of edge capacity, which will improve proximity, resilience, and throughput for the company’s customers delivering services in Japan and the adjacent markets, all of this without sacrificing consistent traffic handling and integrated security enforcement. As enterprises go global, low latency, high availability, and clean operational control all become very challenging things to achieve at the same time; Trafficmind solves these problems by running traffic delivery, TLS termination, DDoS mitigation, and web application security together in one security edgeruntime that is executed very close to the end users, thus enabling local traffic processing and filtering without the necessity of rerouting to distant scrubbing centers during surges or attacks. The additional capacity also allows for the accommodation of sudden traffic spikes and volumetric threats, thus helping in keeping services predictable even at high stress levels, while the Osaka launch is positioned as part of the compliance strategy that infrastructures should be aligned with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, PCI DSS, and ISO, based controls, providing clear jurisdictional boundaries and auditable controls for regulated environments.

“Regional capacity is about operational certainty as much as performance,” said Michael Baker, Senior Vice President for Security Programs at Trafficmind.com. “The Osaka expansion adds meaningful capacity in a critical market while preserving consistent behavior, visibility, and compliance characteristics across regions.” The Osaka site is now live and available to Trafficmind customers, supporting web applications, APIs, and other performance-critical services that demand low latency, high availability, and regulatory alignment. Trafficmind’s platform is designed to deliver predictable performance, availability, and operational control for internet-facing services by integrating DDoS mitigation, web and API security, traffic delivery, and observability into a global Anycast edge network, enabling organizations to maintain consistent behavior, visibility, and compliance as they scale their services worldwide.
