Visa Launches Intelligent Commerce Connect to Power AI-Driven Payments Ecosystem

Visa

Visa has introduced Intelligent Commerce Connect, a new solution under its Intelligent Commerce portfolio designed to accelerate adoption of AI-driven commerce by enabling seamless agent-initiated transactions. The platform acts as a unified ‘on-ramp’ for businesses, merchants, and developers to integrate AI-powered purchasing capabilities through a single connection via the Visa Acceptance Platform. As AI agents increasingly handle consumer purchases, the solution simplifies secure payment initiation, tokenization, authentication, and spend controls while supporting both Visa and non-Visa payment networks. Currently in pilot with partners including Aldar, AWS, and others, the offering is expected to expand further this year.

“From small businesses to the world’s biggest retailers, Visa powers how people pay every day, millions of times over,” said Andrew Torre, President of Value-Added Services at Visa. “Intelligent Commerce Connect brings that same, trusted payment acceptance infrastructure into the emerging world of AI-driven commerce, so businesses can let AI agents buy on behalf of consumers, securely and at scale.” The solution also enables merchants to make product catalogs discoverable within AI platforms and supports compliance and orchestration, positioning Visa at the forefront of the evolving agentic commerce ecosystem.
