Armis Unveils Database to Boost Preventative Security

Armis

Armis, a leading provider of cyberexposure management and security solutions, unveiled an expanded offering to bolster vulnerability assessment and discovery capabilities—the free Armis Vulnerability Intelligence Database. This community-driven resource aims to deliver vital information on known vulnerabilities and emerging cybersecurity threats. It leverages artificial intelligence to provide actionable insights, empowering organizations with the tools they need to prioritize and mitigate cyber risks in real time.

The Armis Vulnerability Intelligence Database is powered by a range of advanced technologies, including Armis Labs, Armis Early Warning capabilities, and the Armis Asset Intelligence Engine. Additionally, it integrates intelligence from Armis Centrix™ for VIPR Pro – Prioritization and Remediation. This comprehensive ecosystem enables Armis customers to tap into crowdsourced knowledge, helping them to effectively prioritize vulnerabilities within their specific industries. With faster delivery of critical insights compared to traditional databases, the database ensures that organizations can secure their environments before threats escalate.

“As cybercriminals continually refine their attacks, a proactive approach to risk mitigation has never been more critical,” said Nadir Izrael, CTO and co-founder of Armis. “The Armis Vulnerability Intelligence Database is an essential open-access resource created by the cybersecurity community. It turns vulnerability data into actionable insights, allowing organizations to respond rapidly and make well-informed decisions to manage cyber threats.”

Despite the growing threats, recent reports show that 58% of organizations worldwide only take action against cybersecurity threats after they have already caused damage. Additionally, 22% of IT decision-makers revealed that continuous vulnerability assessments are not a part of their security strategy. Many continue to track vulnerabilities using outdated methods such as spreadsheets. This highlights the urgent need for a more robust, proactive approach to cybersecurity.

Armis has also achieved certification as a CVE Numbering Authority (CNA) through the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE®) program. This globally recognized initiative is dedicated to identifying, documenting, and cataloging publicly disclosed security vulnerabilities. As a CNA, Armis is empowered to review newly discovered vulnerabilities and assign CVE IDs, further strengthening its role in the cybersecurity ecosystem.

“We go beyond simple detection; we provide true security—before an attack occurs, not after,” Izrael emphasized. “Our mission is to raise awareness and drive actionable change across industries, which is a critical step toward managing the entire cyber threat lifecycle. By doing so, we can mitigate cyber risks and safeguard society as a whole.”

With its new database and expanded capabilities, Armis is committed to supporting organizations in their ongoing battle against cybersecurity threats, helping them stay one step ahead of attackers and protect their most valuable assets.
