25-year technology veteran to spearhead enterprise strategy as EchoStor builds superior tech leadership bench to support its customers
EchoStor Technologies, fresh off its recognition on the 2025 Inc. 5000 List and multiple CRN honors, announced the appointment of Cale Anjoorian as Chief Information Officer. The strategic hire underscores EchoStor’s continued momentum and commitment to assembling best-in-class technology leadership as the company scales its enterprise offerings and expands its market presence.
Anjoorian brings over 25 years of progressive technology leadership experience, most recently serving as Chief Information Officer at Ironwood Pharmaceuticals, where he led the design of a comprehensive value-driven IT Services Organization. His extensive background spans pharmaceuticals, financial services, entertainment, and manufacturing, with proven expertise in enterprise technology strategy, cybersecurity, and the establishment of managed service practices.
“Cale’s track record of enabling business transformation through technology, combined with his deep experience in establishing enterprise managed service practices, positions us perfectly to accelerate our enterprise strategy and deliver even greater value to our customers,” said Mike Johnson, CEO of EchoStor Technologies.
Strategic Leadership Realignment Creates Technology Powerhouse
In conjunction with Anjoorian’s appointment, EchoStor is realigning its technology leadership. Daniel Clydesdale-Cotter, who has served as CIO since 2024 and was instrumental in EchoStor’s AI go-to-market strategy, will transition to the newly created role of Chief Innovation Officer, where he will continue driving breakthrough technology innovation, particularly in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
This strategic restructuring creates a powerful technology triage model with Anjoorian as CIO focused on enterprise strategy and managed services, Clydesdale-Cotter as Chief Innovation Officer driving next-generation solutions and workflows, and Matt Hoeg continuing as Chief Technology Officer to lead EchoStor’s Sales Engineering teams while providing expertise on today’s technology market and how EchoStor can fulfill the needs of its customers. Together, this leadership triad positions EchoStor to tackle the full spectrum of customer technology challenges from foundational enterprise needs to cutting-edge innovation.

Deep Enterprise Expertise Meets Growth Trajectory
Throughout his career, Anjoorian has held pivotal technology leadership roles across multiple industries. Prior to Ironwood, he served as Vice President of Global Infrastructure and IT Operations at Elizabeth Arden, Director of Global Computing and Network Services at Avid Technology, and Director of Strategy and Architecture at Manulife / John Hancock Financial Services. His experience includes driving enterprise IT strategy, cybersecurity programs, and optimization of business systems that support both clinical and commercial-stage global operations.
“I’m excited to join EchoStor at such a dynamic time in the company’s evolution,” said Anjoorian. “The opportunity to build upon their remarkable growth trajectory while establishing enterprise managed service capabilities that truly differentiate in the market is exactly the kind of challenge I thrive on. Technology should be an essential lever that accelerates business value, and that’s what we’re going to deliver for EchoStor’s customers.”
Anjoorian will be responsible for developing and executing EchoStor’s comprehensive enterprise technology strategy and roadmap, while leading the establishment of a robust enterprise managed services practice. His appointment comes as EchoStor continues to expand its footprint beyond New England into the broader Northeast and Tri-State markets.
Momentum Accelerates as Industry Takes Notice
EchoStor’s appointment of Anjoorian caps an extraordinary period of recognition and growth for the company. After earning its first appearance on the prestigious Inc. 5000 list marking the company’s first appearance following nearly 80% revenue growth in 2024 EchoStor has garnered significant industry attention. The company jumped 47 spots to No. 41 on CRN’s Fast Growth 150 list and advanced 50 positions on the CRN Solution Provider 500 list, while earning recognition as a 2024 CRN Triple Crown Award winner.
“We’ve been building something special, and now the industry is taking notice,” Johnson added. “But this is just the beginning. Cale’s appointment is one of several strategic moves we’re making to ensure EchoStor continues to outpace the market and deliver unparalleled value to our customers.”
