Menlo Security, a global leader in Secure Enterprise Browsers, announced an expanded collaboration with Google Cloud to strengthen enterprise defenses against advanced browser-based threats. The company’s HEAT Shield AI now integrates with Google Cloud’s Vertex AI platform powered by Gemini models, enhancing its ability to prevent zero-hour phishing, credential theft, and social engineering attacks that often evade traditional security measures.
Alongside this integration, Menlo Security introduced Menlo Sidekick, an AI-powered natural language assistant designed to simplify security analytics. Built on the Vertex AI platform with Gemini models, Sidekick enables security teams to analyze complex browser data at scale, reducing the time and expertise needed to uncover threats and generate actionable insights.
Cybercriminals are increasingly using sophisticated social engineering and brand impersonation techniques to deceive users. Menlo Security’s HEAT Shield AI has long addressed this gap by blocking zero-hour phishing campaigns that bypass legacy, signature-based tools. With the addition of Gemini’s advanced AI capabilities, the platform now delivers even greater accuracy in detecting and stopping in-browser threats.
“Social engineering and brand impersonation attacks are becoming increasingly convincing and difficult to detect with traditional security measures,” said Ramin Farassat, Chief Product Officer at Menlo Security. “By collaborating with Google Cloud, and integrating Menlo HEAT Shield AI with Google Cloud’s Vertex AI platform and Google’s Gemini models, Menlo is able to identify and block over 99.5% of these novel threats as they happen, right inside the browser. Examples of these threats include fake CAPTCHA pages, or fraudulent remote tech support scams designed to steal credentials, protecting our customers from attacks that would have been impossible to stop just a few months ago.”

With Menlo Sidekick, enterprises gain the ability to cut through billions of browser event logs more efficiently. The AI assistant supports administrators and Security Operations teams by streamlining investigations, identifying risky behavior, and generating security reports with simple natural language queries.
“Menlo Sidekick is a game-changer,” continued Farassat. “It will empower Menlo users to easily explore the rich data within the Menlo Security platform, accelerate investigations and help identify risky behavior without having to be an MQL expert. The language translation capabilities of Google’s Gemini models also allow users to work in their preferred language, further expanding the accessibility and value of our platform.”
The collaboration highlights a shared vision between Menlo Security and Google Cloud to use AI in advancing enterprise security.
“As businesses integrate AI into their core operations, they face a new set of security challenges,” said Vineet Bhan, Director of Security and Identity Partnerships at Google Cloud. “Our partnership with Menlo Security is important to addressing this, giving customers the advanced tools needed to protect their data, maintain control, and innovate confidently in the era of AI.”
This expanded partnership underscores the commitment of Menlo Security and Google Cloud to leverage cutting-edge AI technology to simplify security operations and protect organizations from sophisticated, browser-based threats.
