Archetype AI Secures $35 M to Drive Physical AI Agents into the Real World

Archetype AI

Archetype AI, a pioneer in “Physical AI,” has raised $35 million in a Series A round led by IAG Capital Partners and Hitachi Ventures, with support from Bezos Expeditions, Venrock, Amazon’s Industrial Innovation Fund, Samsung Ventures, Systemiq Capital, E12 Ventures, Higher Life Ventures, and others. The funding will scale its platform to allow businesses to build, customize, and deploy Physical Agents AI-driven systems that sense, reason, and act on real-world sensor data. Powered by its foundation model Newton, Archetype’s agents can fuse multimodal inputs such as video, time-series signals, and contextual information to generate actionable insights, recommendations, and automations. The new Agent Toolkit enables rapid creation and deployment of pre-built agents, including Process Monitoring (for anomaly detection), Task Verification (for adherence to workflows), and Safety (for hazard monitoring), and these agents can run in private cloud, on-premises, or at the edge, preserving data sovereignty and enterprise security.

“Archetype AI is refining and defining the full stack of Physical AI, creating scalable solutions that operate in the real world, not just on screens or in simulations,” said Dennis Sacha of IAG Capital Partners. “Physical Agents allow businesses to move from intent to action with speed and efficiency that were not previously possible,” added Ivan Poupyrev, Co-founder and CEO of Archetype AI. Early customers such as NTT DATA, Kajima, and the City of Bellevue have already deployed these agents to improve efficiency, safety, and uptime across warehouses, construction sites, and city infrastructure. With the fresh capital, Archetype plans to further expand its agent capabilities and accelerate R&D to enhance Newton’s physical reasoning, including advancing its ability to perform signal–language fusion, enabling it to generate continuous sensor data from natural language prompts. The Archetype AI Platform and Physical Agent Toolkit are currently available in beta for select customers, with broader functionality rolling out soon.
