Nitro Software has introduced Nitro MCP, a new Model Context Protocol connector that integrates Nitro’s document engine directly with Claude AI, marking the first phase of its upcoming Nitro Automate platform for intelligent document automation. The solution is designed to simplify and accelerate complex document workflows by enabling users to execute tasks such as data extraction, agreement processing, and information management directly within AI environments, without switching between multiple tools. According to Nitro’s 2026 Enterprise AI Report, enterprise AI adoption for document-related work has surged, yet many organizations still face inefficiencies caused by disconnected workflows and ungoverned AI usage.

Nitro MCP addresses this challenge by connecting enterprise-grade document capabilities to Claude through a secure and reliable framework, allowing multiple document actions to be completed through a single AI prompt. As CTO John Fitzpatrick explained, “People want to use AI to help them get document-related work done more quickly, securely, and inside the tools they already use. The problem with most AI tools is that PDF and document operations are bolted on using whatever open-source libraries happen to be available.”
