Amazon Web Services has unveiled a new Advanced Prompt Optimization capability for Amazon Bedrock, designed to help enterprises improve AI application performance and simplify migration across large language models. The new tool helps developers optimize prompts for multiple foundation models at the same time. They can compare original and optimized versions across five models. It supports multimodal inputs, like images and PDFs. This allows organizations to refine prompts for tasks such as document analysis and image processing. AWS stated that the optimizer can automatically rewrite prompts. It uses sample inputs, expected outputs, and evaluation metrics to enhance performance.

This reduces the manual work needed in prompt engineering. The launch meets the growing need for model flexibility as businesses switch between AI models to save on cost, speed, and accuracy. The migration feature helps organizations test prompts on new models. It also reduces regressions in current use cases. According to AWS, the feature is particularly valuable for enterprises building production-grade generative AI applications that require continuous optimization and rapid adaptation to evolving AI ecosystems. The launch further strengthens Amazon Bedrock’s position as a centralized platform for enterprise AI model management, governance, and deployment.
