MoonPay Debuts PayBox Payment Vault for Claude and ChatGPT Workflows

Crypto and digital financial infrastructure provider MoonPay announced the launch of PayBox, a secure payment vault designed specifically for artificial intelligence agents. The developer solution enables users to execute financial transactions across AI models such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Anthropic’s Claude directly within conversational text prompts.

As generative AI transitions from research assistance toward autonomous task execution, payment processing has remained a primary operational hurdle. PayBox addresses this disconnect by providing a regulated, programmatic payment layer that lets AI models buy digital assets, settle invoices, pay API subscriptions, and execute e-commerce checkouts on behalf of users.
