BRI Wealth Management partners with Aveni’s Assist AI tool

BRI Wealth Management

Firm cuts report turnaround by 75%, unlocking greater value from paraplanning expertise.

BRI Wealth Management, an independent wealth management firm, has achieved almost 100% active usage of Aveni Assist across its advice, paraplanning, and administration teams. By integrating Aveni’s AI technology – Assist – into its day-to-day workflows, BRI is reducing repetitive administrative tasks, giving its people more time to focus on clients and higher-value advice, while keeping planners and advisers firmly in control of every recommendation.

BRI began using Assist in 2025 and incorporated its additional report-writing capabilities in 2026, following an initial trial. The tool now supports the process from client meeting through to completed suitability report. Since its introduction, turnaround times for transactional work, including ISA top-ups and pension withdrawals, have fallen significantly, with report turnaround reduced by 75%.

Bradley Sheridan, Paraplanner Manager at BRI Wealth Management, said: “In paraplanning, we enjoy the financial planning and the analysis that goes into finding the right solution for a client. Assist has removed the bottleneck of repetitive work. We can turn reports around faster, and clients receive quicker service as a result.”

The time saved has enabled BRI’s paraplanning team to focus on higher-value work, including developing frameworks and research for the firm’s retirement planning approach, spending more time on portfolio management, and delivering the focussed, personal touches that reinforce BRI’s hands-on service.

BRI has also been clear internally about the role this technology plays. “As a firm, we’ve drawn a clear line: we use Aveni as a report writer, not a financial planning thinker,” Sheridan added. “We decide what we’re recommending and why. Aveni writes it up, and we review and personalise every piece before it goes to a client.”

BRI credits the smooth rollout partly to its trial preparation. With control over its Assist templates, the team tested the tool across simple and complex cases, refined outputs to reflect its own style and gave colleagues clear guidance ahead of wider adoption. As a result, paraplanning, advice and administration teams were able to adopt the technology quickly and with minimal disruption. While BRI continues to explore efficiencies, its focus remains on using technology to strengthen, not replace, client relationships.

“Our clients value knowing that the person looking after them is someone they know, and often someone they’ve worked with for years,” continued Sheridan. “Aveni helps us with the drafting, but the advice, the relationship and the care remain with us. For any firm considering it, my advice would be to be clear about which repetitive tasks you want to take away, and just as clear about what you want to keep in human hands.”

Ana Nedava, Chief Revenue Officer at Aveni, said: “BRI Wealth Management is a great example of how firms can adopt AI thoughtfully. By preparing carefully and bringing every team with them, they’ve achieved remarkable adoption, and they’ve done it while keeping their people and their clients at the centre. It’s particularly encouraging to see paraplanners gaining time to focus on the technical, high-value work they trained for.”
