Zero Networks & Palo Alto Team Up for Microsegmentation

Zero Networks

Zero Networks, a leading provider of Zero Trust security solutions, has announced a strategic integration with Palo Alto Networks, a global leader in cybersecurity, to deliver comprehensive Zero Trust microsegmentation through a hybrid mesh firewall platform. This collaboration merges Palo Alto Networks’ Strata Zero Trust platforms with Zero Networks’ advanced microsegmentation, enabling enterprises to enhance their network security with seamless, layered protection.

As cyber threats and vulnerability exploits continue to rise, organizations face an increasing risk of security breaches. By integrating microsegmentation with next-generation firewalls (NGFWs), enterprises can establish a multi-layered security approach that enhances Zero Trust implementation, enforces granular security policies, and strengthens threat prevention. While microsegmentation helps contain threats within the network, NGFWs provide robust perimeter security and advanced threat mitigation. Together, these technologies equip organizations with the necessary tools to control access, limit lateral movement, and safeguard critical digital assets proactively.

“Microsegmentation is a critical component of any Zero Trust strategy, but its complexity has historically been a barrier to adoption. Security teams need solutions that provide robust protection but also simplify implementation. The partnership between Palo Alto Networks and Zero Networks delivers on both,” said John Grady, Senior Analyst, Enterprise Strategy Group. “Zero Networks’ automation engine streamlines microsegmentation through dynamic asset discovery, intelligent grouping, and targeted security policy generation, while Palo Alto Networks’ NGFWs provide deep traffic inspection and policy enforcement. The combination reduces the attack surface, optimizes threat prevention, and accelerates time to value.”

“Security today is about more than just stopping threats from entering—it’s about stopping them from moving if they do manage to get inside the enterprise. Palo Alto Networks NGFWs provide advanced enforcement both at the perimeter and inside the network, and Zero Networks’ automated microsegmentation takes this approach a step further, creating sealed microsegments with limited access inside networks,” said Amir Frankel, co-founder and CTO of Zero Networks. “By bringing these capabilities together, we’re giving security teams a fully integrated, layered defense that proactively mitigates risk and stops lateral movement without adding complexity.”

Rich Campagna, Senior Vice President of Product Management at Palo Alto Networks, added, “Palo Alto Networks’ NGFW solutions help organizations stay ahead of the most complex threats with ML-enabled network security, and microsegmentation is critical to the Zero Trust strategy. Customers tend to adopt either NGFW or a microsegmentation solution, but with today’s threat landscape, they need both. Our integration with Zero Networks combines our best-in-class NGFW solution with an automated, dynamic microsegmentation solution and will be available to all of our NGFW customers to help them strengthen their security posture.”

This integration further enables policy synchronization between Zero Networks and Palo Alto Networks management consoles, allowing enterprises to maintain consistent segmentation and threat prevention strategies across their environments. Additionally, the solution enhances hybrid firewall platforms by integrating agentless microsegmentation across all asset types, whether on-premises or in the cloud. By unifying these capabilities, organizations can simplify their security architecture, reduce operational complexity, and gain holistic protection against evolving cyber threats.
